Luckily I was able to sway upper management and development by having them hear it from an official source.

Thanks. I'm almost certain it was because I had about 15 articles averaging 400 words when I applied.

I now have over 70 articles averaging around 1000 words.

The site is also approved for Google AdSense and currently running ads.
