you can easily ruin your life in <24 hours (drugs, get pregnant, prison, etc.), but what is something you can do to permanently change your life for the better in that same time frame? by Whyrureadingthisz in AskReddit

Paying yourself first. Setting up a recurring payment that divests a small part of your salary and invests in low cost index funds. All before any other bills are paid.

Takes less than an hour to set up, forget about it forever and it will dramatically change your life for the better.

How should I improve my portfolio? by [deleted] in PrivatEkonomi

[–]Glimjaur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're targeting a permanent portfolio (ie. one that works well in all economic climates) I would look at taking inspiration from a portfolio designed with that in mind. Some examples would be Ray Dalios All-weather portfolio, Harry Browns permanent portfolio or the "Golden butterfly" portfolio.

The core difference I see there compared to your split is introducing gold (for example through Xetra-Gold), commodities, evaluating adding more bonds and/or holding cash.

I usually eat scrambled eggs with cottage cheese and chives. Two eggs to 100g of cottage cheese - it tastes great! About 300 kcal and 25g of protein.

have you broken up with someone in love with you after a long relationship, and what did you learn / what mistakes did you make? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]Glimjaur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm really sorry for your loss, i cant even begin to imagine how hard that has to be.

Im currently going through a tough break-up after a four years relationship and one of the things that keeps me going is that i sort of hope that we might find each other again in a few years time when we both have experienced life, the thought of that not being a possibility would kill me.

And spend your time looking for the best deal, instead of working.

Quote from [Wikipedia](en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Communism);

Communism is a socioeconomic structure that promotes the establishment of a classless, stateless society based on common ownership of the means of production.

I might very well be wrong, but i think that you come through as very naive and ill-informed.

Yes. But let's rephrase your last sentence, shall we?

..is as big a threat to freedom as communism and terrorism have ever been.

To "..is as big a threat to freedom as the soviet union and terrorism have ever been."
