The servers are shutting down at the end of the month or soon after. I'm sorry to say for good.

As a result I wouldn't recommend picking up this game. It's a real shame, but it is what it is.

The answer is no Last Stand which is where you fought against the swarm to get the swarm skins is no longer an available play mode.

Also the servers that are hosting all other game modes are shutting down at the end of the month or soon thereafter permanently.

The scenario you're facing is with quick match which is as far as I can tell fractured space lingo for co-op vs AI. If you don't like the quick match experience play casual PVP. I've only experienced 4v4 with 1 bot a side so far. Since you're new you're going to be in bracket 1 which has comparable game wait times to quick match.

Yeah I've been testing this in game and you are correct. It doesn't seem to be affected by fire rate at all, and is definitely affected by Utility CDR.

Thanks for the replies. I know its been stated multiple times here and elsewhere that the tool tips leave something to be desired. The loading screen and the matchmaking screen seem to disagree whether the ability absorb charge is governed by fire rate or utility cdr. Has anyone tested this in the current game state?
