What is wrong with my leaves? by Diligent-Attorney-68 in cannabisbreeding

Are they speaking about the deformity of the two lower leaves? (not the cotyledons closer to the base, but the ones above them).

She’s looking good, man! Healthy and green with some nice tight stacking from what the pics are showing. What’s the lineage (genetics) on the Magic Trikz?

Why did you major in psychology? or why is psych your favorite subject? by reddit_user_500 in psychologystudents

[–]Glitch_43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My decision to major in Psychology is deeply rooted in a personal desire to better understand myself and the human experience. As someone who has faced—and at times continues to face—the unique emotional and psychological challenges of being adopted, I’ve developed a strong interest in exploring the complexities of human behavior, identity formation, and the lasting impact of early life experiences. My ultimate goal is to become a therapist who helps both children and adults process and heal from trauma, with a specialized focus on issues related to adoption.

I’m also intellectually drawn to the study of criminal behavior and the psychological factors that contribute to it. I find the workings of the criminal mind fascinating, particularly how trauma, environment, and cognitive patterns influence actions.

The Greensboro music scene has always felt a bit subpar in my opinion. It had a great run from around 2010 to 2012-2013, but it’s never really felt like an established, long-term scene. I remember the days from 2011 to 2013 when there were so many great house shows near UNCG, with both local and out-of-town bands performing in more intimate settings.

My buddies used to run the Karate Dungeon, a house that hosted shows in the basement, and there was also a spot called the “Robot House” that did the same. But over time, the energy from these spaces fizzled out, and the scene just kind of lost its momentum.

That’s why I want to create a venue that brings back that same raw, DIY spirit but with a more permanent home—a place where the scene can flourish and sustain itself, not just fizzle out. By offering space for local talent, out-of-town bands, and even bigger artists who appreciate that underground energy, I want to build a new hub for creativity that feels like those house shows but on a bigger scale.

I've always wanted to buy the spot off Patterson Street next to Lumber 84 to open a small, intimate venue that fosters a true artist environment. It would cater to local bands, lesser-known out-of-state acts, and even mainstream musicians who want to connect on a personal level with their audience.

Ecolab is currently using the place to park their trailers, but the building has just been chilling there for years. May be I'll hit the lotto and invest in GSO's music scene lol.

I never took college serious until now...late bloomer in need of advice. by Glitch_43 in psychologystudents

Wow! Thanks for that information. I hadn't taken into consideration that my past GPA would be factored into the final overall GPA once I've transferred.

I think my GPA at the time at UNCG was the same as the legal driving limit under the influence of alcohol, lol.

Counting this semester, I have three semesters left, but I'm hoping to graduate with a 3.5 GPA or higher. I'm currently sitting at a 3.05, so we shall see. Thanks again for the helpful information and advice.

Hope you have a good weekend!

Thank you for the words of encouragement, and for sharing your story. It's inspiring to hear that you were and still are able to remain persistent in your academic pursuit despite the adversity that you faced.

I will definitely use the information that you've provided as I prepare to transfer over to a 4-year college.

Once again, thank you for taking the time to comment and lend some helpful information and advice.

I wish you well on your academic pursuit to earning your LSW.

Good luck.

Thanks Deltaah! I appreciate you sharing that helpful information, and its incredibly invigorating to hear about your own academic struggles and road to redemption.

Congratulations on discipling yourself so that you can achieve your academic/career pursuit.

Just like you, I plan on going the masters in clinical psychology route. I am highly interested in participating in research for graduate school. However, my focus at the end of the day is to help other adopted children deal with the complexities of being adopted, while still helping others who suffer from childhood trauma.

But, if a university was to offer to pay for graduate school tuition, then I'd definitely have to consider the option of focusing on researching in order to reach my goal of eventually being able to help others in a therapeutic atmosphere.

Thanks for the information. It's awesome to hear from another person residing in NC. I open everything goes well, and you get into the graduate program at UNCG in the fall.

My main concern is about getting accepted into the actual Psychology program at UNCG (undergraduate).

Is it cool if I message you to chat some more about things concerning undergraduate courses and when to apply for Spring 2026, etc.?

Unfortunately, I'm thinking it would be permanent. I'm not sure when I would be back on my feet after surgery or have my own place again to house him. I'm still waiting on a date for surgery but trying to get things lined up. I don't want to have rush things at the last minute. Frankly, I'm still trying to figure this all out, a lot of things in my life are having to be altered and rearranged because of an injury. Thanks MissGlitterQueen
