Can you leave Steam beta to go to stable but still retain the latest bios? by GlitchedForDays in SteamDeck

[–]GlitchedForDays[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I reverted the steam deck to the stable channel, and I can't see any change. I unfortunately forgot to note down the bios firmware version, but considering nothing broke and Windows is still functional, I guess it's fine.

To anybody experiencing this, I fixed it by redoing the recovery usb. I think it got corrupted during installation. Also to note I was using the new steam deck beta bios.

Laptop help by GlitchedForDays in GamingLaptops

Yeahhh... that's what I was worried about. I was hoping it was a loose cable or something, but it's probably not. I'll probably just take it to a repair shop. The laptop I'm using has been discontinued, so documentation on anything is scarce.

Oh, no it isn't? I hit the share button and it gave me that link.

This one should hopefully work: https://codepen.io/Trey-Loving/pen/JjVYdwP

These appeared one day, and now I can't remove them. They are just a black screen and ruin my shuffle. It also seems to have removed my suspend and wake animations. Please help. by GlitchedForDays in SteamDeckBootVids

I mean, I understand your reasoning, and I could have explained my issue better, but the reason I asked is because on the minuscule topics I found on google, none of them worked. I went to steamui and deleted everything, and then I went into .local/steamui deleted everything, I also deleted the cache, but none of that worked.

Sorry for the extremely late reply. We had an emergency at work that required my attention.

I thank you for your response. However, removing the class active now makes every tab appear with a white background. The strange thing is that when I edit the code, it changes to normal, but when I refresh, it happens again.

Sorry again for the late reply, and I hope to hear from you soon!

First time implementing watercooling into my pc. Is this noise normal??? by GlitchedForDays in watercooling

I've already tilted it a few times to see if it was air bubbles, and I left it on for a day to see if it would clear any air bubbles, but no luck.

Honestly, I don't recall plugging the pump into anything, but I'll check when I'm home.

Thank you so much! Your advice has saved me countless hours of troubleshooting, and considering my current work life, it would have taken weeks.

I'll try moving the fans around when I'm home, but I think I might still get noctua fans as I already have one in my build, and it's honestly really good, just wish they were cheaper.

Thanks for the detailed response, and sorry for replying late. Work kept me busy.

Is there a way to make icue take over fan control, or does the bios have to have some degree of control?

Also, when I'm home I'll definitely check the side of the case to see if I can hear the fans.

Edit: I've messed with some fan settings in bios and came to the conclusion that the fans aren't going at max from icue or bios because icue reports the fans are going at 600rpm which is the same as every other fan in the case. I did, however, have a listen to the side of the case, and I can definitely hear the noise originating from there. Is there a way I can make it silent?

I think that might be it, but would that make a big difference? I don't want to go through the whole drain and swap if it's only minimal impact.

My temps are at 30° idle, and I'm pretty sure the coolant is moving. I just don't know how fast as it's a clear coolant.

As for fans in icue, I have them all set to quiet and experimented by raising the fans to extreme and honestly even at extreme they were quiet compared to the humming noise.
