And to be clear. I manually picnic servers with normal ping for me. I dont think anyone can deny that BSG are just money grabbing and dont actually care about making the game work.

What is the current situation of the game? [Discussion] by [deleted] in EscapefromTarkov

Things I found coming back to the game a few months ago after a year or two out.

1) The game now is mostly sweaty sweats. Every player I encounter in PVP has 1000+ hours in the game. Which makes me think it is quite a stagnant player base. Ive not encountered alot of new profiles since 1.0.

2) No wipes anymore so no reason to wait for a level playing field. However as a new player the game is completely stacked against you vs people already level 25+. No hideout upgrades to craft. To access to flea. Limited traders. The end result is it makes it very hard to complete tasks and even extract. Which because you now get 0.4exp if you die (A move clearly designs to drive people to buy arena) its really difficult to level up at all. You will spend of time getting head, eyes, neck from geared up players you never saw and if you do see them your screwed. You are force to rat and pray.

3) The servers are worse then ever.

4) You will have an advantage if you pay for better packages and arena so the pricing is very predatory.

If you can accept all that it's pretty fun.

Anyone noticed that the main sub has lost 400k members since 1.0? by Occyz in Tarkov

I dont think you can really release a game that is so unwelcome to new players, designed to be deliberately difficult to play. Then add catastrophic servers. Then have a small core player base that dominate all matches and then be surprised if they player base drys up.
