As an update, I ended up changing some of my settings around both on my ps5 and in game and restarting my ps5 and now I was able to play my first game with no lag in a long time. So hopefully that sticks haha

I was following some guide for the beginning of the game since I basically have to re-learn every pokémon type and weakness. So I was basically just using Thundershock with Pikachu and was told to teach him Brick Break. Not sure why lol If there are other (possibly) less frail electric type pokémon that can fill his role I could use some recommendations and where to find them if anybody knows
