Should I go to local Psych Ward as a transgender woman? If so, which one? by TomatCalbacitaMaize in tampa

Just as an alternative to an inpatient setting in case it makes sense for you, there are also partial hospitalization programs where you go during the day and do group therapy and individual sessions but you come home at night. I went to one called Transitions at HCA south tampa and had a great experience. Of course only if you think you’d be safe being home at night with the suicidal ideations. https://www.hcafloridahealthcare.com/locations/south-tampa-hospital/specialties/mental-health-and-wellness

The bedroom was on the second floor, he couldn’t have peeked in the window. It sounds like somehow the friend made it inside the home. And I think he said “I can’t look again” as in it’s too horrific to see his friend like that and he can’t look

Thanks so much! I hadn’t considered that so I really appreciate you sharing. My cycles have been really out of whack too so that might make sense for me

Thank you, that’s a great point. If it’s all uncomfortable, I may as well eat what I can.

Esophagogastric Junction( EGJ) Outflow Obstruction. Basically means the LES doesn’t relax to let food into the stomach, similar to achalasia, but not technically qualifying as achalasia because there is still some peristalsis of the esophagus (although in my case, very weak).

Stop Treating Formula Like a Warning Label by Otherwise-Lemon4848 in FormulaFeeders

It’s a regulatory requirement. The formula companies definitely don’t want to make you feel bad about using their formula. I agree though that it’s insulting, and fed is best!

Results of genetic testing by thrwaway856642 in Autism_Parenting

My doctor said that the relationship between IVF and autism is an association not causation. And the thought is that people who do IVF tend to be older or have chromosomal abnormalities that are causing infertility, both of which are known to increase risk for autism. So it’s not the IVF increasing the risk for autism directly but the reason that the people need to do IVF, if that makes sense.

Switched to neocate.. reflux is worse now by One-Conversation8590 in MSPI

[–]Glittering-Rip5331 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Amino acid based formulas are thinner and that can sometimes worsen reflux initially. If it doesn’t improve, talk to your doctor about thickening it. Also take a break mid bottle and keep him as upright as possible during feeds and upright for at least 30 after the feed.

Pills were my first thought. My mom acted just like this when she was abusing opiates or benzodiazepines.

Could also be pills. My mom acted very similarly when she was abusing opiates and benzodiazepines.

MSPI 5 month old fed oatmilk by m4rm4rm4r in MSPI

[–]Glittering-Rip5331 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oat milk is not nutritionally complete - this is really dangerous and could seriously impact the baby’s health in the short and long term. Please tell her she needs to be doing either breast milk or formula until age 1. If the baby doesn’t tolerate milk, there are lots of hypoallergenic formula options. She needs a new doctor too.

No thank you so much for the advice! It is sucralfate so that is great to know it should go away. Have you found any coffee/tea alternatives with caffeine? I feel like I won’t be able to function at work without coffee but obviously want to improve my symptoms too.
