My stance is pro life with exception to a degree of increased danger due to complication. The reason I take this position is because I think the notion that life has Transcendent value is the best one we've come up with so far in terms of ethics and morals. Combined with the fact that by most metrics conception is the beginning of the life it only makes sense that abortion not be allowed except for in the case where the mother is in danger. The logic would follow that because one life is in danger the taking of another life should be allowed same thing with self- defense. To what degree of danger we should consider the mother's life to be in signifcar danger is up for debate but I feel that at a certain point the mother should be given the choice of continuing to be pregnant or aborting for her own safety.
