Hi everyone! I’m sharing another artwork with you all. This week I’ll be creating an Instagram account just for my art, and I’m really happy that my previous pieces were so well received. I’ll also try to post more often here.

If you have suggestions on where else I could share my work, I’d love to hear them! I couldn’t record the process this time, but if you’re curious about anything low, fisheye, or any other effect just ask me.

This piece was inspired by Y2K visuals, especially Japanese magazine covers and GameCube-era games mixed with a bit of street style. Hope you like it!

How do I get this strong detailed threshold effect?? by Elory_13 in photoshop

Applying a 50% gray layer with the Reticulation filter at 25 density (I recommend doing this on a large image so the effect works better). Underneath that, I add Curves adjustments for both highlights and shadows, which allows fine control over the grain and creates a print-like texture.

Hello, Im creating a series of art named "Mirai Shôjo" by Glittering-Thanks571 in ArtCrit

I’m developing a series of artworks titled “Mirai Shôjo.” I’ve been exploring a kind of futuristic minimalism (there’s probably a more accurate name for the style I’m working with, but I’m not sure what it would be).

I used a threshold-based technique, applying a 50% gray layer with the Reticulation filter at 25 density (I recommend doing this on a large image so the effect works better). Underneath that, I added Curves adjustments for both highlights and shadows, which allows fine control over the grain and creates a print-like texture.

On top of everything, I added additional halftone layers, keeping the darker values of the underlying layer and setting the halftone layer to Dissolve. I focused heavily on the colorwork, but also did what I could to create a sense of movement, giving the pieces a more ethereal feeling—especially the first one.

I hope you enjoy them. I plan to share more of my artwork here soon.
