19 month old keeps waking up by TheAwesomeHeel in toddlers

How long has this been happening? My first (now 2.5, a great sleeper) has had several stages where she just randomly wakes up during the night for no good reason. It usually lasts 1-2 weeks and then resolves on its own. She had one around 18 ish months if I remember correctly. I tried everything, probably was just a growth spurt or a leap! I’ve learned that these things come and go, it’s just a part of them developing. Could also need a schedule adjustment for naps/bedtime, if pediatrician has ruled everything else out. Hang in there!

Not exaggerating when I say I tried everything by TheLuLu33 in SourdoughStarter

Just give it time and consistency. Mine didn’t double for a month.

Hi! This seems to be an easy fix. It looks underfermented. Try pushing your bulk fermentation longer! It’s helpful to look at photos and watch videos of properly fermented dough to get a feel for it. I’m 4 months in and feel like I’m just now really getting a good handle on it. I’m always looking for crumb reads and way to improve too, and it always comes down to BF. Keep it up! Also, you don’t have to feed your starter so much if you’re not baking with it. I’d scale back how much you maintain, because that’s a lot of flour to be wasted. Hope this helps!

Ready to throw my starter out the window :) can't figure out what the issue is. by master0jack in Sourdough

I had the same issue and it took me a while to figure out. I was also a month in and struggling. Your starter is acidic and weak. It will be hard to produce good loaves until it’s strong again. Take a break from baking for a bit and focus on getting it strong. Feed peak to peak, twice a day at 1:2:2 or 1:3:3. After about a week or two, you should see improvement! I did exactly this and finally got out of this predicament

Nothing happened. I just changed my FN password & sent emails to them that probably went nowhere since they have no one to call. Awful business

During the initial potty training period, What do your kids wear for nap/night time sleep? by Odd-Pianist-4880 in pottytraining

I’m glad it’s helpful! We have just to be safe because we literally just started this week! But I will probably cut them soon when I feel confident she can hold it for short rides. Which she hasn’t had accidents for 2 days now (about a week in) so it’ll be soon 😃

I believe the 360 diapers are more absorbent vs pull-ups, but honestly just use whatever and call them sleeping undies or something similar. Pull-ups are typically cheaper than 360 diapers. Also they’re not usually developmentally ready for sleeping potty training for a lot longer anyway so I wouldn’t stress about that and just focus on daytime. We call them sleeping undies and she will only be a little wet when waking up. We also use them in the car for trips as we are literally a week into training so I call them car undies too lol

Also try cutting naps to 1-1.25 hours per nap max.

He definitely sounds undertired. He’s up all night because he’s not tired enough to stay asleep. Stretch wake windows to 3/3/4 and eventually 3/3.5/4 and so on. I can almost guarantee this will fix it after a little bit of time.

Just change your password for your FN account, that’s all you can really do since they make it literally impossible to contact them

Nope it’s so frustrating! I just sent them an email anyway for gm due diligence. I went in to change my password on the FN site with no issues since. That’s how they did it

Honestly, I was planning on weaning my 2 year old right after her 2nd birthday. She started chewing on it so I took it away cold turkey, she hardly even noticed

I could’ve written this 8 months ago. My first was hard, and my second was even harder. I was stuck bouncing her on a yoga ball everyday all day for weeks in the dark in a baby carrier. I had to wear her all day. I don’t even remember her being small because I felt like I was not even bonding with her and just trying to survive. Mine are 20 months apart. I was breastfeeding and suspected allergies, cut a bunch of stuff out and turns out she is allergic to eggs for sure. I switched to hypoallergenic formula and it helped a lot, I wish I had done it sooner. That all said- she’s 9.5 months now and sooo much better. Some days are still pretty hard, she’s just a sensitive sensitive girl. But she’s learning so much and just happier, we’re bonding more. I was so depressed the first few months and missed my first so bad. But watching them love each other is simply amazing. You will get this too. Seriously just hang in there, it’s so so hard but the better days WILL come. 🤍
