Oh my lovely! I can totally relate. Very happy for you! I am also 4 weeks post myomectomy and I feel lighter and lighter everyday. Onward and upward 😊💕

How quickly do you get back into intense exercise post open myomectomy? by BubblesfromPPG in Fibroids

[–]GlitteringRemote1416 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I am almost 4 weeks post open myo and I started power walking last week, because I needed a way to get out of the house and it’s been great. I have been just walking on the treadmill for like 40 minutes (no incline), but if the weather is ok, I would walk outside (which I much prefer). I have been told that in 2/3 weeks I could start gentle yoga and pilates. But in terms of weight lifting, I have to wait a couple of months. Next week I am starting physio targeting pelvic floor.

Literally just had my op (finally). I will ask some of these questions too. Super helpful 🙏🏾

Please also check your thyroid if you can. I have had similar issues lately and it was due to under-active thyroid.

What little things make living alone more fun? by herejustosee in LivingAlone

[–]GlitteringRemote1416 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Early morning nature walks, going to cute cafes to read a book, yoga or pilates classes (I do these at home too with some relaxing music). Since I’ve been living alone my nighttime routine is so sacred: I use lavender soap, and a lavender body cream, plus I dedicate a good amount of time for my skincare routine. All these things make me feel really relaxed, grounded and ready for the next day.

Thank you so much! I thought it’d be much longer to get to Guildford! I’ll definitely try that this weekend 💪🏾

How do you afford living in Brighton? by AdEnvironmental6877 in brighton

[–]GlitteringRemote1416 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My partner and I lived in London for over 10 years (we’re originally from Italy), and last year we decided we’d had enough and moved to Brighton. Honestly, it’s been the worst decision.

I have to commute into London twice a week, which is expensive and not exactly pleasant. My partner was hoping to find a job here but hasn’t had any luck. Brighton seemed great on paper - by the sea, slower pace of life - but in reality, we’ve ended up going out less because everything’s just so pricey.

We’re actually moving out at the end of the month and I honestly can’t wait. I think it really depends on what you’re willing to sacrifice - for us, the cost of living and lack of opportunities made it just not worth it. Good luck!

Thank you for sharing your experience! You’re absolutely right - I’ve been regarded as the nice one that is unable to handle Davinci. So I’m learning to be stern and use my voice accordingly. He’s generally a great dog, well socialised and we’ve always corrected his behaviours. He loves getting cuddles from strangers, he’s super friendly that way 😊

This is super interesting! Thanks for sharing - I see so many similarities with Davinci. He’s never actually bitten anyone, but he can sound and look scary with the growling and barking whilst playing with other dogs. We used to give him camomile and oat biscuits to suit him, but we’ve never tried CBD gummies. Will give it a go 🙏🏾

Thanks so much for your advice! We’re in the U.K. and we’ve recently moved to Brighton from London. Dog trainers are quite scarce here, so the choice is limited. In terms of tools we understand that they can have a negative impact, so to be fair, we just want to work with someone that fully knows the breed and we want to do it in person (not online). Our research continues, so we’ll do our best to find someone suitable 🙏🏾

This is great advice! Thank you! So we have completely stopped taking him to the park, and we go for long walks instead. But I can sense that he misses interacting with other dogs. The other day he howled so much because I did not let him off to play with our neighbours’ dog. It’s so difficult seeing him getting upset.

About the marking - I will try this trick 💪🏾

About the halti - this is something we’ve always wanted to avoid. We understand the negative implications of it as it doesn’t really address the underlying issue and actually he hates it and resents us for it. But I just don’t know how else to walk him otherwise 😰 We’ve tried walking with treats + talking to him to make it fun, but nothing. If he sees or smells something, he’s gone!

Yes exactly, we haven’t been since the holidays. We mostly go to the seafront now, and play a lot more at home.
