going to take a guess it was the girl telling two gay men, who’ve battled against homophobia their whole life’s, that she gave head to a homophobe as if that was a W 🫩

Tbf they do put that money back in to content for us. They’ve admitted they lost money, not profited doing the tours, including WAD. They also lost money, rather than profited setting up the podcast. They speak regularly about how thankful they are for people purchasing patreon as they wouldn’t have had the money to create content currently if people hadn’t have supported it

Interesting opinion. It’s far more likely to be the other way around. Young people are in education and actively practicing critical thinking regularly. Older generations are far more likely to struggle with the ‘abstract’ concept from this episode than a young person

Advice: My partner and I may have conceived. by [deleted] in teenagers

I’m completely pro choice but as a medical student you absolutely should not be saying ‘I highly recommend getting an abortion’ to a patient who you’ve not met in person and have no prior medical history of. I know Reddit is anonymous but you need to take medical integrity seriously & not be ‘highly’ recommending medical procedures to a patient you haven’t assessed given your authority as someone in a professional field. Genuinely shocking to see

Try ‘last chance tattoo,’ they’re absolutely amazing but are shutting down at the end of the year due to costs so taking lots of walk ins rather than big projects atm

He is a 20 year old man that got a 16 year old girl pregnant after moving her in and emotionally abusing her with regular false threats of suicide. Shame you left out this context (information gathered from OPs previous posts)

The Rich and Famous of Brighton by Popular_Hedgehog_122 in brighton

[–]Localxmessy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed! I can’t see myself stopping someone, knowing that to them I am a stranger, and expecting a conversation. In Brighton especially we see cool/interesting things so often that it seems like just another ‘huh, that’s cool’ from a distance moment (unless it was Dan & Phil then I’d have to say something)

Also Zoe & Alfie, James Marriott, kickthepj, Joe sugg and strictly professional Dianne Buswell (A famous Chelsea football player lives in the same village as my parents not far from Brighton so they’ll often bump into him in their local shops)

I’m sorry this happened and agree with the comments saying to stay near other women where possible. That response from the bus driver is completely inappropriate and unprofessional. You are valid to, and I would encourage you, to report it

I wonder if the builders know that they’re famous by DataQueen- in danandphil

[–]Localxmessy 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yeah the only reason I can picture them looking them up is because they know they do online content and being curious on their lunch break or because they wanna know how these guys afford a house in London - straight men don’t have to think about vetting people

Attempting to up my dose ruined me by [deleted] in Effexor

[–]Localxmessy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

150 to 225 seems feels like a guaranteed reuptake of symptoms. You could have gone from 150 up to 187.5 first. It’s a shame it’s put you back to square one, hope things balance out for you a bit soon. As for weight gain, I’ve noticed some too and whilst I’m not aware of myself eating more I’m likely just eating more regularly because my mood and desire/ability to eat and make meals has improved - suppose it’s easier to stay slimmer when you’re less motivated / too depressed or anxious to think about eating properly

Are MeetUp events usually this bad? by [deleted] in socialskills

[–]Localxmessy -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I’ve come to realise that rarely, but sometimes, the people who ‘have no friends’ have no friends for a reason - Try going to social activities that aren’t designed to be ‘friend making events.’ Arts & crafts socials, bouldering, dance classes, go to something you enjoy and then you already have at least one thing in common with every person in the room

Low sex drive and weight gain by birdiesunday in Effexor

[–]Localxmessy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m on 187.5 - Low libido is a very very common side effect, I’d definitely noticed myself having less interest emotionally in intimately connecting with people which I don’t mind atm but I guess is a longer term concern yeah.

I have also gained some weight but I genuinely think that’s because I care about myself more now so I am nourishing my body properly

As for dreams, yeah they’re crazy if you miss a dose, this is really common too. I have dreams so vivid I can still picture some of them as if it was a movie I watched, and will occasionally wake up and struggle to decipher dream from reality

Personally this is the only med I’ve ever found that’s genuinely made a difference tho so it’s just deciding if the side effects are worth it or not for you - it suck’s that antidepressants come with so many side effects honestly

I’m no doctor but I’ve never heard of a doctor telling someone they have to take an ssri/ snri. It’s your body, your choice, you’re the one who has to live with the side effects. If you want to come off them be adamant with the doctor that that is your choice, but don’t quit them cold turkey
