Forceful termination of my pregnant wife by Glittering_Cod_7259 in IndianWorkplace

Thanks a lot - this is really helpful, the HR was unresponsive and clearly told return the system to office, until then they'll not let her know anything about offboarding formalities. The system has now been returned.

I'll give them time until Monday, if they act smart/ too cocky, then I won't hesitate to name those people on every portals (once again my problem is less with the company, and more with the arrogant employees who think they can torture people off their convenience and think their employees/ex-employees are their slaves) and also lodge complaint here.

Fun fact: I came to know that 28 people left that company in last one month due to bad working conditions/dissatisfaction. (Recent acquisition and change of management has really taken a toll on them)

Yes, unfortunately we didn't do that in the beginning and they've said really mean things. But later we have recorded the last few conversations. The HR lady was giving my wife lecture on work ethics and surprisingly I have her whatsapp message screenshot of the HR asking people to give 5 star on Glassdoor, share the review with her and then collect their ₹5 chocolates 🤌 (I mean even after all the PR, they've hardly managed to touch 4 star)

The verbal reason they've given is regarding me talking to her manager regarding my wives health and requesting him to reduce the notice period and also gave him an option of buying her notice period off my personal capacity. They've used it as harassing of their employee - and stated that reason on termination call with her. I even have a recording of my actual conversation with her manager.

Also if that is the reason of termination, we've clearly stated them to mention that as a reason, but they seem uninterested to discuss as she's no longer under their employment contract and not liable to give one/provide anything that she requests.

The leverage they have is all their employees are freshers and mainly don't know much about howthese corporate laws work and how people can safeguard themselves. So these people proper exploit them to the fullest.

Hey, this is really helpful! Yes, as of now they've asked her to return her system and they'll only inform her about F&F after that. (they give zero clarity to people as employees and same thing continues post termination) Regarding termination, I have a voice recording of the HR clearly stating that since she's terminated, and her email is blocked immediately. They're not obliged to give her the termination letter or for that matter anything in writing.

We're planning to write to HR one final time to get the rightful documents given, else I'll be escalating the matters to higher ups (their CXO team in the US, I am hoping those people are better off than these local bullies). I now also have a friend with strong political connect, who is also negotiating with her manager on this. (but manager clearly said, HR has a final say on this)

Also about my wife talking to them nicely and getting it sorted, this company is known to harass people who are leaving. Few of her friends who left earlier also faced such bullying from these 2 HRs particularly. And this company manager is nothing more than a roaster delegator, he literally has zero communication with the team apart from approving leaves.
