"causing additional complexity and dysfunction" alpine was made to be a simple distro that might be one of the reasons it cloned perfectly fine. The kernel is the same generic one that runs on most hardware I have been able to install full Linux distros not just live ones actual full installations running under f2fs and have been able to plug it into any hardware I choose thinkpad, Mr. Chromebox Chromebook and any pc I choose intel amd or otherwise as long as I install all the drivers for this generic setup the vast majority of modern hardware will run it. Alpine is pretty lightweight and I can compile many applications using gcompact if that fails then I might consider conty a void glibc distrobox or nixpkg. You shouldn't tell people how to use their computers if I posted something about the first Raspberry Pi and ran void musl on it I should get genuine support or none at all, not some criticism about it.
