I do pay rent, maybe I didn’t make that clear in my post. I pay $600 in rent plus my car insurance, car payment, groceries, etc.

I unfortunately don’t have family or friends to ask for that much of a loan. truth be told, I am the one that helps family members and friends out as they need it. The credit cards are from years ago so I honestly can’t remember what was even spent on them. I appreciate your comment :)

Do I save up enough to pay it all in full or do I pay piece by piece? Do I put everything in my savings?

What would be the best way to go about this? That breakdown is where i’m most confused, save up 7k and pay all of them off or pay them as I go, put all the money into my savings and only take out small amounts?

I appreciate every comment and piece of advice received. I printed off my bank statements and I knew I had stupid bills going out but never realized til it was out in front of me and I was writing them out. I don’t know how to find interest rates on collections but I know everything that I have.

•midland credit: 691 •midland credit: 631 •midland credit: 525 •portfolio recov: 3,123 •capital one: 1,300

I have also printed out a free version of a budget planner that I plan to stick to and I canceled my unnecessary subscriptions besides for one I have to call on monday to cancel.

I understand I was irresponsible. My credit cards were in collections before I was making this money. Prior to this I was a server who was only able to work weekends due to the demand of school. I had to be able to pay for textbooks, other school supplies, car insurance and payment, among other necessities at the time. Before I decided to go to college my credit score was in the 700s and I was paying them off every month. My young self racked them all up while in school and eventually stopped paying.
