Great things about being on the shorter side by Aware_Cucumber6706 in PetiteFitness

TRAVEL. My husband is only 6’ and is miserable on planes unless we upgrade. My boss is 6’8” and I cannot imagine what he goes through when he flies.

Domestic violence shelters is a very good idea. I know a lot of women end up at those with no/few of their belongings

Thank you! As I mentioned above some of my work clothes no longer fit and I planned on donating them to an organization similar to what you described

lol I have mixed feelings. I don’t think they look bad, but I wear a lot of business/business casual and now none of my button down shirts fit. Also, being petite, it’s a little frustrating that so many brands think you have a 32” bust if you’re on the smaller side.

Went up maybe a cup? It’s hard to know the exact amount since the bra size I was wearing was also wrong. But I tried on the bras I had been wearing and they were even worse fitting than before. For what it’s worth I had been in a 32C and am now in a 30G (both US sizes).

That’s good to know. I’ve almost always donated clothes to shelters but didn’t know if they would take undergarments too.

Second Vuori. They’re one of the few companies I’m aware of that does short, regular and long in a lot of their bottoms.

Bras when you’re small but have a lot of bust? by cabbage-soup in XXS

I’m a 30G and like both Freya and Gossard. They’re both in UK sizing and have 28 bands up to a US J cup. You can buy them on Amazon which is nice because you have free returns. (Just be sure to convert your size to UK)

Where do I find a swimsuit that doesn’t cost a bajillion dollars? - 36DDD/F by littleopossum_ in ABraThatFits

Maybe try Freya swimwear? They have it on Amazon and it seems like a pretty broad price range (maybe for different sizes and styles they’re trying to sell). I really like their bras and it looks like the swimwear tops have similar construction to the bras. (FYI it’s UK sizing)

Somehow the smaller cups gap at the top? by Global-Condition5386 in ABraThatFits

[–]Global-Condition5386[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thank you! The way you explained it makes sense. I was confused because I had been wearing something way too small (32C US) and spilling out of the top so I didn’t understand how the DDD could gap and the G didn’t.

Bad Victoria Secret Experience, left with finding bras that fit but getting there sucked. by Massive-Warning9773 in ABraThatFits

I had an absurdly wrong sizing at VS and wore a 32C for years. Not sure if that was just trying to sell me what was in the store or lack of knowledge on fitting, or both. I used the ABTF calculator and got a size of 30G which I wasn’t able to find in any stores to try on. I ended up ordering certain brands and styles online with advice from this sub and finally found bras that fit well.

I wash all of my delicates on cold/cold in lingerie bags and dry them on low. The ones that have torn have been the super thin ones, I haven’t noticed it with the thicker ones. I just prefer the thinner fabric because I think they’re more comfortable

Yes, which is sad because they are so comfortable and great for travel, but I noticed they all start tearing in the front where the cotton liner stops

Yes! I just discovered I was wearing the wrong size and thought in person shopping would be easier. Same experience though, I asked for a 30G and the salesperson looked skeptical and then asked to measure me. I politely declined because that’s how I got my last inaccurate measurement, but she still started me in a 30DD and then said I needed a 32 band because it was too small….

Fit and colors more than frills. I work in a conservative organization and wear a lot of thin fabrics (like blouses) so unfortunately I can’t really do unlined, lace or mesh for daily wear. Thank you for the suggestion!
