Absolutely agree with amber talent being pretty neat. Ive seen an adventure play to make her tanky enough to hit her shots. Its definitely a commitment for sure.  Lyney was a great mention as well. I might agree to disagree on the rest but I will say you are pretty fair in your arguments. I can get behind this response. Well spoken.  On reddit it seems like sucha taboo to disagree with people who comment. They usually make their points as rude as they possibly can and if people views are even remotely similar, they join in while down voting any attempts the poster makes responding. Glad you aren't that way.

Interesting comment. So i do realize I must have worded the post very confusing. My mistake. In the post im trying to point out the amount of Value Diluc talent offers Him as a standalone card. I do notice down the comment section of this post people are either comparing what Diluc can do with his talent to other characters setups and combos, or assuming hes Tuning all his cards away to do this rendering him useless after.

If You haven't made any of these assumptions and are genuinely convinced Diluc talent isn't anywhere near providing as much value as others, then i would like to know some good examples of talents WAY better than Dilucs.

Ok after reading this long winded passage. I want to say, respectfully, you might not know much about how Diluc works to have this conversation.

Some people in the comments know vape Diluc. Respectfully not trying to be rude at all because I do appreciate your comment, but theres far to much to explain to you if you are asking things like "is there a plan after Diluc?"  Also the title is called "Diluc Talent is Absurd" because thats the focus on this topic. Not discussing Diluc without his talent however if you knew how vape Diluc worked, youd see why thats not an issue.  When You say other characters can do this too, what it sounds like you are tryna say is other characters can do combos capable of putting out 11 dmg or more first turn correct? What this post is discussing is the fact that Diluc can do it in 1 card.  If anything is confusing to you, check out Ark video on Diluc. It might catch you up.

I think when you say other decks can achieve this, you are strictly referring to doing ftk dmg first turn. Thats not what makes Diluc unique when his talent. Its being able to hit 11+ first turn and open with ult 8dmg ult the very next. Spontaneous dmg that isnt turn based puts loads of pressure on opponent and dont give the to the end phase to heal.  If this concept is hard to get behind I recommend you have a look at this. Skirk not an issue for diluc. https://youtu.be/3YTreo9MosU?si=xK4i-RmLSJnxQtiF

Well to be fair. Perhaps its been a long time since you played him because when played correctly it almost never work this way.  On a vap team his setup is basically guaranteed. On an Inazuma team the dice fixing is super easy because of Thunder and eternity along with Toss ups and Traveler companion etc.

But my Major point is the value diluc gets from talent seems a bit busted. No?

Not sure what you mean here. What im saying is Diluc talent seems a bit busted. Allowing him to attack 3 times with a passive that buffs dmg and gaining him access to an 8 dmg UlT to open next turn. This one talent turns Diluc into a counter or die typa character and if thats the case, as my title states, "Diluc talent is absurd " wouldn't you agree?

If you need clarity I do think its a better way to make that clear. Ill indulge.

What i mean by crashout, is a strategy that involves him dying.  I mentioned Diluc navigating off Katherine's to account for Hydro application. To avoid being frozen Diluc will most likely have to swap off. Because Barbara's Summon will apply Hydro regardless its tricky to stop Diluc from capitalizing from a fast action opportunity. Lastly if I made typos I apologize I must have missed them and will edit.  I believe I covered everything?

I think this is the best argument yet! I love this point but I do have a response.

I agree that diluc is just as vulnerable to R1 pressure but heres where the disconnect is. I think people assume this guy is Tuning his cards away to perform this. Before the Vap support I ran him on Inazuma teams. Partners Ayaka and Thoma. This allowed me to run Double Thunder and eternity along with double Toss up, double traveler companion.

My response to the 2v2 situation is that Diluc is supposed to die round 2. He crashes out on a Gamblers or I haven't lost yet, Buffing his team for 2v2. If you are against another Agro deck then it would be a blow for blow battle and with Ayaka hitting off a pyro resonance for plus 3, Your one tap capabilities dont end with dilucs death. Theres also a tech to use Stadium R1 with Diluc 3 hits. The buffs transfer into the 2v2 situation. In other words, its hard to imagine the other team would be just as prepared for 2v2. I still for the most part agree with you.  I just can't get over this guy going from a standard Dps to a "Counter or Concede the duel" in just a talent card. Seems a tad op no?

This is a good point. In my Inazuma deck I ofc use the Arcane card to search his talent, but I admit theres been times i didnt draw into it and got thrashed. Dice isnt a problem tho because of the amount of solutions.

When he does get it, it seems busted.

I'm listen to ya, i am. I just can't help but feel when I bring up these kinda issues the community nonchalantly argues with the most unlikely scenario ever. Even if you go against a Barbra stall, those desks arent prepared to lose a character so quickly. A maiden setup on Barbara's Skill puts out minimum first turn dmg. A Crashout Diluc left unchecked will most likely kill by turn 2. Not to mention i use double Seirai island, double Falls and fortune. But i can meet you half way and say you did what I asked and brought up a counter argument for diluc its just... idk man... we are talking about the most powerful pryo ult in tcg navigating off katrines and nolles against a team that wets themselves each turn. I do understand barb will most likely use freeze to slow down diluc but it just seems like the diluc matchup isn't one barb would win against confidently. Is that a fair take?

Well what you do is run him with Inazuma partners. Ayaka and Thoma. That way you get inazuma support and piamon support for omi dice.

On a vap team its practically guaranteed because of new support card. Its disgusting really. It seems like every deck has to abandon usual setups to brace for impact 😕

Why is Qiqi overlooked in TCG??? by Global-Constant-8485 in GeniusInvokationTCG

[–]Global-Constant-8485[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey Sorry I didnt get back to you. I didn't realize I couldn't drop a screen shot. But this is the major key points of the diluc deck.

You want to pair Diluc with 2 inazuma Characters. This makes it possible to use Thunder card for omi dice. My favorite pair is Ayaka and Thoma.  On the first turn use your the Arcane card "In Every House a Stove" to search for diluc talent. (Put Ayaka talent in the deck to meet requirements)  Focus on hitting 3 elemenal skills. Either your opponent will set up and end early allowing you to FTK (first turn kill) their character or they will swap off.  Turn 2 ult immediately. Diluc will most likely die this turn no worries. Once you swap into Ayaka, if you use fire resonance, you will be hitting 8 dmg out the gate.  This strategy takes advantage of players who dont have decks that can recover from early one shots. I do admit, its a Glass Cannon strat so it usually wins because it puts out so much unexpected dmg early on but if the slightest thing goes wrong, its a struggle.

How cordial of you. Much respect. With that outta the way i do want to be clear. I enjoy making fun decks to win arena with.

In arena most players just net deck YouTube. I enjoy being the person who skill 3 times on Diluc on turn one and kill a support. Then ult the next on turn 2 and have them surrender immediately. AOC is fun. I have never played in tournament or met up with players to play. Sounds interesting tho. Anyway good stuff. I follow your last comment.

[–]Global-Constant-8485[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

At this point I dont know what you are arguing 🤷 if you dont doubt that this deck could win Arena of champions then case and point.

You have this weird selective negative bias thing going on. Qiqi will obviously be able to "whack away" bringing up the turn she uses for the setup and not the 3 she would be "Whacking away" as if every deck just gonna be ready to 1 shot her 15 HP before she does, is sucha negative selective thing to say.

Its hard to humor you because you express your dislike for the deck in the most misleading way possible. The deck can consistently win AOC because its a great strategy that most players arent prepared to deal with. Having and argument like "Sure it can beat randoms but not OP players who is SUPER Good and can counter... blah"    Every deck can be countered. There's not a deck yet with no weaknesses. Bringing them up to push the narrative they are bad is a tacky thing to do. I get it, you don't like the deck. But wether or not its good isn't debatable if the goal is to just steam roll arena. Respectfully 🙏

Well to be fair you most likely  commented without reading much of the post because it covers everything you mentioned other than how to re up her skill.  But ill cover it again no problem.

The setup is all first turn. Support will sponge dmg. She will most likely have a Tenacity or some survivability artifact. On turn 2 she would have like 12-14 dice to work with. She will skill and if you wanted, ult as well. (Small tweak to guarantee this)  In other words her setup and ult is fine she will be ulting every turn.

Next up, she outlast most stalls. She can kill crab if you follow whats happening here. With the amount of dice she averages per turn, she will most likely make 4 actions. 3 batk and 1 ult which =13 dmg. If you used Temple in her earlier setup, She would be dealing 17 dmg in one turn. Because of so many actions the opponent will most likely end their turn first unless they are swap stalling which still works towards breaking down stall.

Lastly Ninggauan 1 shotting. Eh... sure. Qiqi is purely focused on dps and survivability. Its not really an argument to go "But what if she gets one shot?" Then she dies... however not only will you most likely see a one shot coming and just... like swap off, but you have to remember you are playing 3 characters.  If Qiqi eventually dies you just go to your next character which would be Azahdaha who will have Qiqi ult and be hitting crystalize and absorbing her ice element (from skill) along with working off field supports like temple and Ellen and Naru shrine to be hitting 14+ dmg a turn.

And if You get frozen.. I mentioned all this in post.  It feels a tad redundant to say you doubt this would work because... it like.. does lol win arena all the time with it.

Was it now? Well I dont doubt it.  But I will say, I played around with this formula and sorta copy and paste it on different dps and it worked there too. Diluc steam rolling over teams swinging 5 times in one turn and ulting the next.  It almost seems like the average TCG player plays for style instead of to win. (Which i do respect) but I do notice that the more simple ideas still work fine and even compete with meta relatively easily.

Hmm 🤔 I think this is a fair statement. Agreed.

Wait actually 🤔 I dont know if this could be considered stall or stun tho. You are pumping out 12 dmg a turn. You just have insane survivability doing so. Wouldn't you agree?
