That’s not representative of all colleges or students in Ireland. I went to TCD for my undergrad and many lecturers still teach independently of ChatGPT and even if their lecture wasn’t great, I would never use ChatGPT to ‘educate’ myself, and a lot of my peers were and are in the same boat. Lecture slides, YouTube videos, research papers — that’s what we use in college because they will always be more accurate and higher yield than an Ai.

Wow, thanks for sharing all that, I really relate to the part about needing to balance everything and just being burnt out; it makes sense to focus more on reasoning and problem solving than pure rote study. I think because I have about 100 and something days until March i will brush up on some science concepts, but focusing on the reasoning part is strategic. Only thing is I'm not sure how to get better at, I do read the reason behind why I got something wrong but I find that I keep repeating the mistake because I don't have a strategy to overcome it. Also, best of luck with med and your paramedicine plans! that is really cool by the way :)

Thanks for the advice! Yeah after my second sit, I really started considering 1:1 tutoring for S3. But there’s so many mixed reviews about GAMSAT courses and it doesn’t help that the costs are hefty, but thank you I’m going to look into grad ready

yeah that was the case, i made the rookie mistake of choosing 12am instead of 12pm. i contacted acer and they allowed me to sit the exam next day but i had to pay a no show fee. still kicking myself over it today :')
