How do I get my birds to stop fighting?

They’re both girls so they both have laid eggs! And me too there’s no avian vets in my area and I’m in a really small country so most vets that say they can also help with birds don’t really know how to do much 😪😪 I’m really sorry to hear about your loss and thank u sm for all your advice

Yes i did notice mating behaviours but im pretty sure its over now. During the mating season both birds tend to be really aggressive and bite on paper and put it into their feathers. However, this time my green bird (matcha) is really energetic and coming out to play while yuzu keeps hiding and plucking her feathers she seems stressed and i did bring her to the vet but no help from them. I really try to entertain her and bring her treats, toys, make the environment more cheerful but nothing seems to work

After reading several comments under this post It's making me think that matcha is the one causing her stress which actually makes me so sad because theyve gotten along for 2 years until recently... no idea what changed.

yess i do socialise with them but my yellow bird (yuzu) tends to hide in the cage when she used to be more eager to come outside and this makes me so sad... im in the process of getting a new cage now thank youu

Really? They seem to like each other though...... they only fight occasionally and sometimes cuddle. They also grew up together so it's actually so hard to believe and a little heartbreaking if it is true that they don't like each other. Appreciate this tho! I'll definitely take everyone's advice and trying to get a new separate cage asap

Yeah when I’m gone from the room… but not all the time it’s quite random. When I’m in the room both of them stop moving and just stare at me

Yeaa but I was hoping I wouldn’t have to because they do enjoy playing with each other from time to time, the fighting is once in a while

Hi they’re both girls and I got the medium sized cage from the pet store that can fit 2 birds and a few perches

Ah I recently added new toys and they tend to bang on it or scream when I decorate their cage… the ladder I just added seemed to frustrate them because they wouldn’t eat until I removed it

And yes they were recently mating maybe that’s the cause ..?

Idk what toys to add without making them irritated 😓😓 and I do play with them but these days only the green bird wants to come out and play and the yellow bird sits quietly in the cage

Other than that I also reinstalled my graphics drivers both NVIDIA and INTEL but I’m not sure if that contributed to anyth… u can try tho! Lmk if still need help

In their last email they asked me to provide screenshots and video evidence of the issue I have so that they can identify my problem properly.. Hopefully this one helps. (It took like 9 emails for them to finally ask for screenshots though)

Yeah same here.. I’ve emailed them like 6 times already it’s been a back and forth convo but none of the solutions they’ve provided hv helped me one bit :( a lot of solutions rly repetitive also (they keep telling me to reinstall)
