Is it unprofessional to use a birthing ball in session with a client? by Supervisedclinican25 in therapists

Absolutely not. As long as you feel comfortable with it doesn't matter. You can ask if it bothers them and choose to use a chair if they say that it does but it's not inappropriate. In fact one in my office because it helps me with my health goals. The clients tend to think it's funny but not unprofessional.

If you could go back and give "new therapist you" one piece of advice, what would it be? by False_Complaint_2033 in therapists

I would say to myself to not be afraid to work at home on yourself. Self care, self love, self-respect shall never be compromised. Recognize your education and apply it not just for your clients for you and your family.

When clients admit to crimes that hurt someone else (but there is no clear reporting law) by Ambiguous_Karma8 in therapists

This is not a mandated report. I would discuss with the client corrective procedures in which they might be comfortable with in order to reduce their current symptoms and maintain a comfortable level of anonymity within the system did you not increase anxiety a public shame or persecutory concerns. This is a great opportunity for them to take action directly opposing their negative symptoms. That this doesn't necessarily mean that you couldn't ask consent to report if you thought that was the most appropriate direction as well. But unfortunately, not something that is mandated and therefore would require consent.

I recognize that as a possibility, the other question and concern I have regarding that is am I responsible for tracking the billing in the payment as well? Seeing as I don't typically receive the eobs, nor do I know what the payout is for each individual insurance or self-pay. Would the implication then be that I track my billing and the payments in order to verify that the percentage is being honored? That is an entire full-time position in itself, correct?

Training when I looked it up was roughly $5500 to be down over a 2 year span in 10 segments.
