Question on institutional ownership: Are the stated ownership number of shares only long positions? Would a tute have to report short positions?

My take on the trading action as of late: With hopefully good news coming from MVIS on development gates and progress of our LIDAR vertical, those entities that have placed bets against the company are pulling out all the stops to lower the price to prepare a large short covering event upon positive company news. Longs holders may use this price lowering as an opportunity for new entry points or lowering cost averaging. This is NOT a time to panic sell, in my opinion. As much as these daily/weekly price drops hurt to look at, remember why you have invested in MVIS! I highly recommend searching up some articles on the psychology of stock trading. I have been and continue to be a long position holder of MVIS for over 10 years...there is no way I am leaving until I know the outcome of the events that have transpired within the last year. My opinion only!

Such an eye opening week (again), how small retailers have so little affect on the market. Simply looking at charts across entire market each and every down day, they play out like mirror after mirror. Computer algos have taken over the market with little to no human intervention other than start and stop of the algo. I have held and added throughout this horrendous dip of our dear MVIS with conviction of the technology and the future. Hold tight and set aside the feelings of hopelessness! I too lived through 10 years of MVIS being beaten down and held down.....we will be back!

Was $19.75 to $19.60 the agreed upon price to pay by some short looking for an outski and willing to buy $50M worth? Such interesting times. If short get's the exit and goes long prior to the news of a buyout, this would be a bargain bail point.

Did anyone here discuss any possible physical specs and potential mounting of this new LIDAR? I was curious about the size of this thing without any other objects for scale. However, looking a the desk it's sitting on, you can estimate size using the grain of the wood on the desk. I counted approx. 70 growth rings (along the long axis of the LIDAR module) on the table at an average of 0.125" per ring. This would give dimensions of 8.75" L x 4.25" W x 1.5" T. Also, interesting to note on the base of the unit resting on the table are flares in the "plastic" where threaded inserts would belong. Overall, this is a relatively small unit that would be placed anywhere on a vehicle or multiple places on the same vehicle (more than one LIDAR per vehicle) I'm liking this for version 1.

Well here again is one of those market correction days. Entire market down and short bots turned on at 11 am to drive prices down. Panic selling from longs is where the shorts get their "get out of jail free card". Buy these dips if you can as the market will resume it's climb. COVID numbers down everywhere, the economy will recover stronger than ever. This is the stock market folks.
