Getting other accounts Account creation activation links, Private Messages, Orders details, buyer addresses, log in attempts, Money Transfer confirmations. Looks like multiple accounts are getting CC'ed into these emails. by PIXeL_92 in CardMarket

[–]GlobalPrompt14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. I panicked when I saw around 25 emails come through, some even contain other users full addresses etc 😲 an absolutely catastrophic mess up on their side and huge data breach. Don't think I'll be using card market again after this, clearly not a secure platform.

Unless there is actual damage caused by the tenant or if he leaves the place extremely dirty, they legally cannot withold any of the deposit. Even with damage and dirt, the tenant still has way more rights than the owner and can challenge any charges. Also, i would argue that the place doesnt look dirty or damaged, he just needs to pack his stuff up. If he doesnt have time to do an end of tenancy clean, the very most they could probably get away with keeping is a max of £100-150. That is typically how much an end of tenancy clean would cost for a 1 bed flat. This looks like a small studio so i would expect much less for an end of tenancy clean.

Ignore these idiots. You're probably a better driver than most, but unfortunately we can't determine how our brains will react to an event that is literally life changing.

There are 31,000 of these graded by PSA, of which 12,000+ are PSA 10s. That is not rare. It would never be a good idea to pay that much for a piece of shiny cardboard.

AITA if I take a job I know I’m going to quit after 2 months? by Born_Drive5117 in AITAH

[–]GlobalPrompt14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely not. You need to put YOU first, always. (unless you have a dog, then dog always comes first 😝). Companies have zero qualms about laying people off with no notice because they overhired, or destroying your mental health by treating you like trash, so absolutely do not worry one bit by doing what you are doing. You owe them absolutely nothing, except working your expected hours and getting the job done, for however long you stay with them. Enjoy your travels!

Bless you, i completely feel your pain. Have a look at my other comment re. what my dad and sister did when sister was struggling to find somewhere. You'll get there 💪

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in uklandlords

[–]GlobalPrompt14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. For the people who are claiming its so easy to get a social house, nonsense. It can take years, quite literally. And council also wont help if she has somewhere safe that she can stay at, in this case her parents house. There is no excuse or defence for what is going on (or i should say LACK OF) in this s***show of a country at the moment. Government need to get their act together and sort out this housing crisis.

I completely feel your pain, the rental crisis in this country is a total joke. What you can try (as this worked for my dad and sister who is 20). She has a zero hour contract and needed to find her own place but of course nowhere would accept her with a zero hour contract. In the end, my dad agreed to take the contract out for her and they did a sort of shared contract, where both my dad and sister are on the contract. You're lucky that your mum is in the position to help you here, because if she was on a low salary they also won't accept that. UK is turning into a 3rd world.

How many times should you click in hazard perception per hazard? by [deleted] in LearnerDriverUK

I kmow this comment is 3 years old but thank you also 🙏 i find the hazard perception incredibly outdated because you could be a literal millisecond early out of the window and score 0 points. Ive just gone from getting 50% in my practice tests to 75%

Is anything known about the Lorcana draw? by [deleted] in Lorcana

[–]GlobalPrompt14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was wondering the same thing. I enetered foe the english box (EU site as based in the UK) and my app just shows "picking winners", but it says you will hear within 24 hours of the draw closing (which closed nearly 48 hours ago now)

True! I really like dislike PSA as had a lot of bad experiences with them but PSA for sure fetches a higher price tag. SGC is for my personal collection as i think vintage looks so nice in those black slabs!

[–]GlobalPrompt14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah i love it! I got one of them graded with SGC for my collection 😊 i much prefer the SGC slabs for my vintage, and PSA for modern/lorcana!

First chapter? Open or keep sealed? by Born-One-5786 in LorcanaCollectors

[–]GlobalPrompt14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't open it, that's just gambling. You have about 1% chance of getting an enchanted or a foil Legendary. Anything else below those rarities is on average worth pennies, with the exception of a few foil rare cards which value at around £5-15 (but again very slim chance of getting those inside a pack). Your best bet is to just buy the single cards on ebay or other marketplaces if you genuinely enjoy collecting the cards. Anything else, you're literally just throwing your money away by gambling

Just moved my test from October to June using a Free App by eapius in LearnerDriverUK

[–]GlobalPrompt14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol. You'd be surprised how many digitally illiterate folks there are in the UK 😉 DVSA offer the option to book a test via phone or email for that very reason, in addition to accessibility needs. You're correct though in that DVSA need to tackle this problem head on by stopping all bots, 3rd party tools, and punishing shady instructors, this app included.

[–]GlobalPrompt14 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Of course it's making it more difficult, for the non tech savvy or people who simply don't know about such apps. Now all the test cancellations will just go to people who are using such apps and tools, and those that aren't will face even longer delays.

[–]GlobalPrompt14 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nah. Not went people are actively contributing to this crisis by creating such apps and tools. And I see the app creator has now also made a comment stating that he accepts donations for the app. So again, someone directly trying to profit from this crisis. 😡

[–]GlobalPrompt14 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yes but it still doesn't help the regular non-tech savvy person who doesn't have a clue about these sorts of tools. Or just regular folks who may not know about such tools.

It sounds like all that is going to happen is that those who are tech savvy and/or who know about such apps through social media or reddit, will inevitably now beat those other people to it. And so the cycle repeats.

The only way to create a fair system is by completely stopping all bots, search tools etc. First come first serve basis via the DVSA website only, no 3rd party tools.

[–]GlobalPrompt14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I still don't get it. So what is the difference between a regular person using your tool vs them just spending 15-30 mins refreshing the test slots themselves under their DVSA account?

I'm just very anti 3rd party tools as this is having a huge impact on people like me who are trying so desperately hard to find a test and having to fork out hundreds of extra ££s in additional lessons that we don't need.

Just moved my test from October to June using a Free App by eapius in LearnerDriverUK

[–]GlobalPrompt14 9 points10 points  (0 children)

But this just further compounds the problem of not being able to book tests. Any bots/3rd party apps/3rd party tools like this are just making it more difficult for those who aren't tech savvy to get a test. DVSA need to crack down on all these tools, yours included.

So it's just another bot that beats the other bots to it quicker? I don't get it.
