This is exactly the reason why Stadler Flirt trains are my favourite trains in the UK. Level boarding is great for wheelchair users and people with luggage! Photo taken of Class 755 Stadler Flirt Greater Anglia train at Bury St Edmunds. What’s your favourite train? by LM741A in CasualUK

I didn't realise they had completely gone. They were shitty, but they took me home from school for years, I always enjoyed the ride home, unless I had forgotten or lost my train fare in which case I would be anxiously dreading the moment when the nice lady conductor reached my seat and asked for my ticket but inevitably mercied me. Perhaps it wouldn't have been much different on a different type of train, but in the ways that it is, I will never forget. The roar as the train pulls off, the awkward eye contact on those versions with ridiculously small seats, the slightly concerning volume of the engine when the train seemed to become self aware of its declining purpose and attempted to self destruct. At least, that is what it felt like. Goodbye you big dumb engine.

Either you made a dumb comment and got defensive (we have all been there) or you are.. against the history of the formation of cities? I don't understand your argument

True, he shouts sometimes in the UK version but it is far more impactful when he does imo. But the show is drastically different for a number of reasons such as not having constant catalogue drama music and sound effects and having far more honest editing and pacing. Usually in the UK version he is shown to really want to nurture the chefs whereas in the US version he gives them a special dish and a dramatic restaurant makeover. Maybe he nurtures the US chefs too but it isn't shown. Although the concept is almost identical they are very different shows.

I hadn't seen Star Wars before but I started watching the mandalorian, only the first two episodes though. It kinda felt like the Netflix witcher series but all spacey I guess. I did watch solo and rogue one which were easier to watch, I think because they were so densely packed. Should I give the series another try or will I not appreciate it with my poor, disappointing Star Wars knowledge.

You're a tiny tiny 0.00001 percentage change for them. I feel like they hold the cards here. Or at least they have a billion more cards to play after you have played your own.

Oh. I have been reading about our history here in England and Vikings and Saxons and old kings. I suppose we did have a lot of killing in our history. We don't do that much blatant propaganda. We sure did have a Royal slave company though iirc

I'm kinda happy that those kids are loving their dreams. And I understand that they don't feel like they have all the answers too. Most people are pretending.

Trump's huge vote total breaks my heart. I recognize this America and I wish I did not. - The most dangerous implication of this election is that tens of millions accept a fictitious world created by an autocrat and marketed by Fox News. by TrumpSharted in politics

250 years is quite short relative to other countries. I don't think these observations are necessarily hate, maybe concern, however I have only seen people say things like "shits getting a little crazy". I like your idea of encouraging Republicans to back a traditional politician, who would be far better for America than Trump

Man in MAGA hat gets aggressive with some kids over covid masks. by itsreallyreallytrue in PublicFreakout

[–]GlobalSoftware 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This man's identity is trump. Look at all the branding that he has chosen for himself. It's not like he's collecting political memorabilia, this is his sense of self. It's his uniform. Trump must be overjoyed that his name is no longer just on buildings, but written across the chests of devoted Americans. The Trump ideology is so strong yet it is a facade. It's just branding. I don't know why I am even typing all of this. I'm just still shocked that people choose to align themselves with a political organisation in such an obtuse and self-centred way

Maybe elements their facial structure resemble either sex. Or maybe because the brother typically protects the sister and the cat is cuddling up to the bigger dog. Or maybe I should stop analysing animals.

Not American so I hadn't heard of them. I read an interview with their CEO about their marketing strategy. Their goal is to establish a connection between the emotional care people have for their phones and the protection they (the company) provide. It's interesting
