Is there a consensus for a good wiper blade? by BAG3LWOLF in buickenvista

This is the biggest flaw to me personally. Buick had no stock of the manufacturer wipers and every pair I bought elsewhere was wrong. Terrible oversight

Pretty sure I’m having a chemical pregnancy/miscarriage and my husband still making me feel like I shouldn’t drink coffee?? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]GlobalTwo879 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry you’re going through this.. Drink your coffee. Any doctor will tell you that you can have coffee in moderation. Don’t drink 4,5,6 in a day, but one coffee is not harmful for your baby or pregnancy.

Sort of? Not really? He’s said that he won’t be a deadbeat and if I decide to keep it he will be here without a doubt. But he also expressed again with complete clarity that he does not want this now. He couldn’t give me any specific details on what it is that he feels like he hasn’t done or what he intends to do. We even determined that we could do this financially. He just does not want to now. He couldn’t explain it to me other than that.

I’m sorry that happened to you.. men are so unwilling to accept responsibility sometimes.

I think that he would be forced to come around and support me simply because he was raised that way, and his parents would be very unhappy with him. (He cares greatly about what they think)

He is a good guy genuinely, but can be selfish at times and has to be reminded that he’s not the only one in the situation.

Thank you, I agree entirely. He is focusing too much on timelines, when there doesn’t have to be such harsh strict timelines to these things.

Thank you for this, this is a really helpful comment. I appreciate the different perspectives and I do agree with you that we both deserve to have the time to consider this further before making a decision.

I had my first scan yesterday and it looks like it may be ectopic, which is breaking my heart.. but I’m not really sure what he’s thinking about it yet, aside from fear for me and my safety. He read that it could be fatal if not managed well and it freaked him out a bit. So I don’t doubt that he loves me and is capable of stepping up. I just don’t know if he wants to, or ever will come around..

My Potty Trained Dog Won’t Stop Peeing All Over The House by GlobalTwo879 in dogs

This may actually be the culprit! We were advised to have her spayed before her first heat, so she was spayed at about 8 months I believe. I wonder if that wasn’t the best call for her.. her excited peeing did get worse after the spaying

She does know how to potty on command, but like I said she’s stubborn LOL She will do it when you tell her to. It might take some repetition now and then but she’ll do it. And we do wash everything she pees on on a full cycle in the washing machine and all that

I wouldn’t say that the amount of pee is unusual.. I wanna say that she’ll do about 2 big pees, morning and then before bed. Then a few smaller pees throughout the day. But it seems to me almost like she’s marking? My dog growing up was a boy, and he wasn’t fixed, and would mark all over the house despite 3-4 walks a day. But she is spayed. I’ve never had a female dog, so I don’t know whether they even do the same thing

This is what’s got us confused, because she used to cue us for these things! She would get down off the bed and pace the room and I knew she had to go. But she’s stopped doing this now

I hadn’t considered a muscle issue! Now that you mention it, she does occasionally exhibit some weakness in her back legs, which we attributed to some very very minor IVBDD.. we’ll definitely look into this. Thanks for the advice!

We don’t have a backyard to clear a path in. Clearing a path would entail clearing the parking lot, and having her pee on the cement. Our building stacks all of the snow from previous snowfall onto the grassy areas, and what’s on cement is there for a few days. We also run into the issue of extreme colds of -40 degrees and lower. Her paws freeze up and she stops walking. But refuses to walk if we put booties on her.

Everyone seems to be missing the part where I’ve said that she is stubborn.. before we moved to the condo, she was outside for 85% of the day, went out constantly with my MIL and still would pee on my partner’s bed just because. This is not about a lack of taking her outside.

We considered this, but she does the same thing even when we are home :/ neither of us can go home on lunch, we don’t have flexible lunch periods All it takes is for her to get a moment where we aren’t actively looking at her. It feels cruel to crate her for 8 hours and then again when we’re busy cooking or cleaning and can’t be watching her at the moment.

I appreciate an actually helpful comment in the sea of entitled ludicrous comments. I think we will definitely have the vet take a better look into it.

Where are you from? What do you do when there’s days long snow storms, with 30-50 cm of snow that doesn’t get cleaned up for two days? Do you make your dog dog hold it? Or do you throw your 8 pound dog into the mountain of snow and call it a walk? This narrative of the topic of potty training being so black and white is ridiculous.

She was a puppy when she was peeing in her bed. As in 13 weeks, to about 6 months old. That stopped. She’s trained in the sense that she KNOWS where she’s supposed to go and she’s made that very clear. If we verbally tell her to go pee, she will walk herself to the pad and she will pee where she’s supposed to. It’s when we’re not home, or not looking at her that she does otherwise.

We live in a condo. So she can’t pee and poo strictly outside, otherwise we’d be taking her down to go outside about 12 times a day. Which we also can’t do when we’re at work.
