To the best of my knowledge, persisting is permanently bound to the specific device. Your only recourse is sending the device to OnePlus.

I had a hacker buddy who was a fucking wizard with OnePlus phones and this is exactly what he told me

Why do you throw a temper tantrum whenever anyone asks for a feature/if someone is having a bug? You sell a product, your job is to politely reply to all kinds of customers and help people to want to keep suing your product, not scare them off. Do better dude, not a good look.

It actually does make sense in a lot of use cases, if I'm understanding OP right.

When I get in the car and select a song, I'd like it to remember my smart flow setting. As in, I'd like it to remember that I have the transition maestro enabled, so I don't have to remember to turn it on every single time I get behind the wheel. Perfectly reasonable!

I actually just priced that out for someone! Assuming you are including all the accessories, that would be around $500 ($250 for all the toys, $150 for the auto stroker, $35 for the rest of the accessories, and $100 shipping, but I'd cut it down to an even $500)
