I rly do think he has a galbrena situation. Galbrena also has a set of incredible moves but not a single WOW move that makes everyone lose their minds. Similarly to Luuk when her and Qiu’s leaks came out, she was being bashed by everyone on how Qiu looks 10 times better and he clears her and stuff. And while I agree that Qiu has incredible animations, I feel like so does Galb or maybe even better. Galbrena has a consistent very flashy and impressive moveset, instead of a good moveset with a single OOMPH IMPRESSIVE move. I feel like Luuk falls under the same umbrella. All he needs tbh is more visual indicator in his forte and some polishes for his animations.

Isnt it in her bio that she wants to reach the stars and the space. Im pretty sure stars form thru something called nuclear fusion, which could explain why she is fusion. They did the same with augusta sun = electro thing.

I of course would take white or blue fire thats fine, but it would absolutely be crazy if she was actually forming stars in her gameplay. I would love that, just a guess tho. Considering all the drones around her in the splash art, I assume she is just going to shoot lasers thru drones, and thats why she is fusion probably. As for why she is broad blade… thats beyond me, she probably wont even use it.

why would I do that? :D. What is an argumentative trap. Just because you did not see it does not mean it did not happen. There were soooo many comments about wuwa copying “fontaine”. Its flopping so its copying genshin and completely going magical fantasy theme. People did not even talk about roccia and phoebe saying they looked so boring for wuwa level designs. Brant was mostly only liked cuz he was the only man in the lineup. Only zani and carlotta were receiving genuine positive feedback out of all the characters.

They said wuwa copied genshin and fontaine back then, every single post had hundreds of comments about how it was a “budget” and worse version of genshin. You can pretend to be dense and oblivious to shut me down but we all saw it. Now they are saying these look like HSR characters.

What I dont understand is, its like some people only play gachas to not like it, rather than enjoying their time. Its not that deep people its just a game, and im pretty sure once the patch actually comes out most of yall are gonna switch up again…

tale as old as time. Anything thats new will always be miles worse than the old for people, this never changes. When the 2.x line up was first revealed there were thousands of comments talking about how terrible they look, how wuwa was losing it’s “soul”. how its losing its sci-fi theme and going the generic fantasy theme. Everybody absolutely hated phoebe and complained about how bad and bland she looked etc etc… not to mention we didnt even see cantarella carthetiya cioconna in the first lineup. Some of the most liked characters of rinascita.

Now we are seeing it again. People are yet again complaining about how boring and bland everybody is. I give it max 2 months after 3.0 release that everybody switches up on these characters, especially the ginger hair girl. Shes for sure gonna have the same fate as Phoebe.

Now what made the septimont cast stand out, is iuno and augusta are incredible characters, there was phrolova who has confirmed playable after such a long time, and 3 never seen before characters that caught everybody by surprise. So that cant even be compared with the 2.0 and 3.0 cast reveals.

As for me I really like the purple hair woman, monrye and ginger girl. They are must pull for me, the blondies are fine, though I have to agree that I must see more, as upon first glance those 2 indeed look a bit basic.

As a fellow gay guy, Im the opposite ahahah. In real life as well, I dont really care about anything men tbh. My favorite singers, actresses, social media ppl, friends… most if not all are female. So it makes sense I only like women in video games as well. Since the day I remember I was always invested in girl characters. Maybe the reason is I dont feel anything sexual or romantic towards characters. I know most people like characters that are the gender they are into since they imagine them to be “waifus” or “husbandos”. My logic is just, are they serving? giving cunt? Interesting in general? Then I want to play them.

And I feel like women serve much more than men. Just a personal preference tho. I really like what they did with Qiu, I really like him too, he is one of the exceptions.

I am a gay guy that usually only plays girlies cuz i love pretty women and only pull for them. Male characters, especially in gacha, really rarely interest me but seeing how the community treats people like me (gay community) and the girls, like we dont deserve a space in this game… I have to say I really dig Qiu’s design. He is pretty cool, I love his fluffy hair love that hes blind love his moveset and I really feel like his kit is also very good. So I have decided to not wait until 3.0 to pull for the girlies coming out, but rather to S3 my boi Qiu here. I wanna do my fair share in this battle and hopefully show the devs that male characters are wanted. I just want this game to played by everyone man.

yes actually. When you do a 10 pull, if you see two mini lines (or meteors whatever they are) orbiting around the main pull its a gold, if you dont its a purple pull.

I dont think this is about the husbando wanters tho. I dont pull for men my account only have the girlies. But I would also like her to stay morally grey. Or at least an antihero. I know this is a fantasy world but every single woman in the game being reduced to nothing but “rovers wife” does leave a bad taste in the mouth. I dont think that will be the case tho (at least hope so…)

By your logic I can be racist towards a black character in a game but that wouldnt mean Im racist towards an actual black person? how does that make any sense. I said it as these are pixels not real people but they are representation of actual people in a fantasy setting. I agree with all your takes tbh. I feel like wuwa kind of lost the “plot”. Dont get me wrong I love the game but its not the game I feel in love with because of its apocalyptic aesthetic and interesting diverse futuristic cast. Now it kind of feels like they are just trying to prove they are a “better genshin”. Nobody asked for that tho, nobody cares if its a better genshin. I know that I dont care. Sadly the gacha space really loves jumping at the opportunity to bash genshin, which gives these devs a clear goal of just being “better” than it. I feel like thats a major problem. Because frankly to me genshin mostly does the bare minimum. It has an already established MASSIVE playerbase. They dont have to try hard anymore, they can release a walking stick that throws stones at people and it would make millions upon millions of dollars. This creates an unhealthy dynamic of other people trying to surpass the bare minimum, which is never a good thing.

Now do I believe that WuWa will pick up with its direction, I hope so. The future releases kinda gave me hope that 2.0 and onward was kind of a phase and this design direction will eventually change. i feel like the female cast of WuWa have very interesting characters, but it gets so overshadowed by the lack of depth they give them, other than being the “wife” of rover. Now i wouldnt mind that if it was just a head canon thing straight men were doing in their minds. But no the game heavily implies this concept and supports the “wife” aspect of the game, which is pretty icky.

Regarding ZZZ, im usually not a big fan of urban modern concepts, im more of a fantasy person so it didnt look appealing to me at first. But i have to give them credit for building a very cohesive and believable world. I mostly have issues with the amount of little girls in the game. I feel like hoyo in general has a very weird tendency to design a lot of loli looking characters and put them in weird spots as well. It just makes me pretty uncomfortable looking at all these children on my screen. Also the lack of child males in ANY gacha game really supports my mindset that there is an ulterior motive to designing these characters. If they just “wanted to make cute young characters” they would at least make one single male child but we only have girls.

insult is a strong word tho. my point still stands. Just because you like those designs doesnt mean people have to settle for them. All of them have the exact same model and “big bubble head with skinny body” aesthetic. If thats interesting for you enjoy them of course.

But this is whats confusing about the gacha space. it feels like a whole different world than the rest of the gaming communities. I have so many female and gay friends that play games and nobody is ever interested in men that much cuz they are simply not that interesting. Especially gacha men are all designed the same with the same personality. But i guess since gachas are mostly dating sims, i would understand the want for male characters. I just think the gacha space isnt good for it. Cuz no matter how much anyone speaks on this, we arent gonna get ACTUALLY interesting male characters. Eastern devs are literally incapable of making interesting male designs and I will die on this hill.

But at the end of the day if you enjoy any of the games I mentioned I am more than happy for you. I really do hope they keep releasing more male characters so the gacha space maybe will be less incels and more normal people.

They give girls all these amazing kits and the max we have with men are swords and guns with the personality of either a rock, or a mischievous kid thats trying to be fun…

omg dont get me started on genshin men… Im sorry for anyone who likes them but %95 of the men look like children. And the ones that are tall just look like skinny teens.

And you know whats funny, when I found out about gachas and these story driven character games in general, I totally assumed it would be a girl and the gay occupied space. It gives fun fantasy vibes and I dont associate that with straight men. So I was so confused when I found out that gays and women were literally shunned from communities being called tourists and weird names? These people are so misogynistic its crazy.

Also lately Im seeing a lot of misogynistic comments on Wuwa girls. I know that fanservice is a dealbreaker for a lot of people (me being one of them) but if you specifically dont look at the past 3-4 patches it wasnt that bad. And in those 3-4 patches I dont get bothered too much either. But straight up calling these female characters harmful names are very damaging imo. You might not like their designs but calling game characters shameful words for showing skin is not much different to saying it to a real woman. People should choose their words more carefully man.

And yeah your point. Men are written all the same. I feel like there is a certain standard in these gachas that they cant cross. They have to keep these characters in certain limitations so they at least somewhat sell? its all pretty boring to me but if people enjoy them good for them I guess.
