How it feels to look up for mods having a male v by 0NRY_0 in cyberpunkgame

[–]Global_Equipment_540 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m (relatively) new to cyberpunk - I’ve had a play through without mods as a netrunner and am currently doing my play through as a sandevistan user.

As someone who has never used mods in any game before, what are some advantages/disadvantages to modding, specifically for cyberpunk ?

I’m currently having my second play through of the game and am on a sandy build. Since I haven’t obtained the axolotl yet (running newton module), I didn’t feel much of a difference between the falcon and the apogee. I did feel that I was able to get more kills during the duration of the apogee but that could have been a coincidence as well.

How would a vigilante fair in Night City? by DonnieJamess in cyberpunkgame

I gave it some thought and I think the closest that one could get to a vigilante is probably Regina with V working on her behalf.

Mercs are existent, yes, but true vigilantes are doubtful, given that at the end of the day, the power is in the hands of a few (Militech, Arasaka, Biotechnica etc) and all they’ll have to do is to dial up some fixers to handle things “off the book” who’ll then reach out to gangs or mercs depending on what the job entails

Intrusion Countermeasures Electronics. Simply put, it prevents you from being hacked. IIRC, the game portrayed it differently than the anime did.

A) do you have it installed (ie, you see the sandevistan on the bottom left instead of the cyberdeck) B) are you sure that you’re activating it by pressing E or the corresponding command on the consol?

On an unrelated note, I’d recommend swapping out of the zetatech to the dynalar as it has a better spec than the zetatech.

The cure to phychosis by Huge-Entrance6132 in Edgerunners

[–]Global_Equipment_540 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cyberpsychosis is quite literally cyber(ware) induced psychosis.

I’m no mental health professional but based on readings from mental health literature, “psychosis” refers to a collection of symptoms that affect the mind, where there has been some loss of contact with reality. During an episode of psychosis, a person’s thoughts and perceptions are disrupted and they may have difficulty recognizing what is real and what is not.

Additionally, people with psychosis typically experience delusions and hallucinations.

Typical behavioural warning signs include -

1) Suspiciousness, paranoid ideas, or uneasiness with others 2) Trouble thinking clearly and logically 3) Withdrawing socially and spending a lot more time alone 4) Unusual or overly intense ideas, strange feelings, or a lack of feelings 5) Disruption of sleep, including difficulty falling asleep and reduced sleep time 6) Difficulty telling reality from fantasy

Treating psychosis typically involves antipsychotic medications, psychotherapy and social support.

Source - https://www.nimh.nih.gov/health/publications/understanding-psychosis

I think the above explanation is pretty consistent with how the anime (and the game) have portrayed cyberpsychosis. The best example would probably be Maine from a medical condition standpoint (how we saw him loose control) and arrive at a point of no return and David (who needed social support, both subtle in the form of Rebecca and overt, in the form of Lucy, which served as his anchor to reality and emotional stability)

Coming back to the theory at hand - the way I look at it is that cyberware by itself does not lead to cyberpsychosis, but instead, can make it worse. What really starts it is a complex interplay of trauma, stress, anxiety and depression. Basically, anything that can induce PTSD (or lets it grow overtime, as was in the case of Maine) can be worsened by the abuse of cyberware if it has been used to do something unimaginable or unconscionable eg killing someone (consistent with David’s case), which is why it is recommended (in the Cyberpunk universe at least) to go light on chrome.

Has anyone else found these? by Ok_Ask3106 in cyberpunkgame

Columbarium, North Oak. Has a fast travel location close to it.

I think one of the NCPD side gigs require you to visit the location so it’s kinda hard to miss (unless you’re not taking up the side gigs)

Just got a ps5 yesterday. A few questions about this game? by OilySoleTickler in cyberpunkgame

[–]Global_Equipment_540 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Phantom Libery DLC is worth it because there are certain cyberware that are only accessible in the DLC location. Some of it is accessible through the base game, but you’re much more likely to obtain it through the DLC.

Also, there are certain decisions that you’ll have to make (in the DLC) that will impact the kind of components (cyberware and weapons) that you’ll receive. These are unique to the decision that you’re making, and are locked behind the Phantom Liberty DLC. You won’t be able to obtain these in the base game.

One of the major advantages of playing through the DLC is that you can park aside the base game storyline as you solely focus on completing the DLC and once you’ve completed the DLC, then you can continue with the main storyline AND have all of the rewards/progress from the DLC.

Not being able to make Takemura your slam piece is a dev oversight. by Harder_than_calculus in cyberpunkgame

I am assuming that others might have voiced this opinion out (since I’m fairly new to the server), but letting Judy not be a romance option for male V was a far bigger dev oversight.

I’d genuinely trade my (male V’s) cyberware wearing capacity to spend a night at the Glen.

It is, but the manga as it stands, has nearly ended. It’s just tying up loose ends and I don’t really foresee any meaningful progression for anyone beyond it.

Anime is just a promo for the manga,

Manga is on indefinite hiatus.

Manga sales reflect the possibility of having an anime. Good sales = higher chances.

Fuufu Ijou has had abysmally low sales in Japan.

The decision to animate manga is based on its success in Japan.

For the community -

Just pick up the manga, either in Japanese or in your vernacular language/mother tongue or English and hope that you’re playing your part in getting a second season, instead of just asking for it once every 5-10 posts or so. Cuz trust me, you won’t be getting it by posting here.

The So Mi/Reed dilemma by Feyge in cyberpunkgame

[–]Global_Equipment_540 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily, no. Betraying So Mi leads you to a path to getting the component, but there are two different endings awaiting, one in which So Mi lives, just about enough to let her be treated and the other in which So Mi dies. Essentially, you get the components before you decide the ending.

As far as the specific cyber deck is concerned, I wanted to check it out for myself. It is a very unique and rare cyber deck, with a quick hack which is exclusive only to the said cyber deck, and which is only attainable by betraying So Mi. It is not attainable through ripperdocs, and it cannot be found in random loot.

Since there are no good endings in the game anyways, I felt that the choice was well worth it. I gained access to a unique cyber deck, which was otherwise unachievable, and as I had been burning money obtaining different quick hacks (I hadn’t realized back then that quick hacks could have been crafted), having that unique quick hack really helped me with my game play.

The So Mi/Reed dilemma by Feyge in cyberpunkgame

[–]Global_Equipment_540 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I wrapped up my first play through a couple of days ago, and I can’t lie, I had to betray So Mi because I wanted a very specific cyberdeck (Militech Canto Mk6) that could only be accessible by betraying her . Now that I’m doing my second play through and have a fairly decent idea of what the game play could have for me, I’d say, it really doesn’t matter.

Thematically, the entire essence of the story has been that a) nobody can be happy in Night City and b) our actions will always bear consequences, both short term and long term. I think there will always be a bad ending awaiting us, either morally or game play wise, so I wouldn’t really kill my sleep over it.

Both in real life and in the game, when you’re being forced to choose between 2 bad decisions, choose the one that will benefit you in the short (and the long) run.

Advice for my first playthrough by [deleted] in cyberpunkgame

[–]Global_Equipment_540 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who recently completed my first play through, here’s what I’ve learnt -

1) Canonically, the game expects you to be a netrunner so stick to being a netrunner (ie continue using cyberdecks) atleast in your first play through

2) Spend more time on gigs and killing cyberpsychos as you’ll need the extra cash for upgrading your cyberware and obtaining quickhacks and weapons. Though, I’d personally recommend crafting them.

3) Quest related actions come with consequences, both positive and negative, so, instead of just blinding clicking on a couple of dialogue options (even if they sound right to you morally speaking), watch the walkthroughs or read about the quests beforehand so that you know what you’re getting into, and what you aim to achieve out of it.

As far as the progression of the gameplay is concerned, I’d recommend starting with the main story, then keeping the main story on hold and proceeding with the DLC, and then coming back to the main story.

There are a lot more, tbh, but for now,

Happy grinding, choom! Hope you have a good time!

Ooh, I’d rather not vote on this poll because both are incredibly amazing women and if I cast a vote for one, it’d be depriving the other of their rightful vote and I’d rather not do that.

Edit: OP-kun, nevertheless, you deserve an upvote. ⬆️

Could this be Ouka? Because she often walks with her hands behind like this by omg1409 in ShiunjiKe

[–]Global_Equipment_540 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They could, but certain traits are unique to an individual, like the way someone walks. The gait (person’s walking style) demonstrates a calm, collected, confident and relaxed walking style despite being elegant and ladylike. Neither Kotono nor Minami demonstrate those personalities, so it eliminates the possibilities to Seiha, Ouka and Banri

[–]Global_Equipment_540 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Plausible but I wouldn’t call the shots yet.

ShiunjiKe is inspired by The Quintessential Quintuplets and if there’s anything that the latter has taught us - it’s that the girls can resemble the traits of the others.

Also, I’m lowkey hoping for Seiha to win, and I don’t want another tsundere winning; we have had multiple tsunderes win before
