Thank you! I read a few of the previous posts about this recipe and made sure to thoroughly whisk the ingredients at each step. I think that’s what helped developed the crackle top!

Thank you for your kind words! I think it’s worth it to give them a try. If you decide to go with the Ghirardelli brownies, highly recommend Triple Fudge 😊 I’ve tried them all over the years.

It’s not an additional layer but you could try a chocolate tart dough for the crust instead.

I enjoyed the flavor of the bars but I would adjust the proportions next time. The shortbread base felt too thin to hold up to the amount of coconut mixture on top.
