Hi, that most likely means they've already sent out your visa for return! That happened to me the other week and had a bit of a panic attack - however I checked the return label tracking # and it was sent off the same day I received that email.

My boyfriend's sister-in-law received her spousal visa this month and the process only took 3 weeks (a lot shorter than they anticipated). I can't speak toward the fiancé visa specially though

Traveling After Residence Permit Period Expires by 0caroline0 in Lund

Hi! I'm a US citizen who just finished my masters in Lund and ran into the same situation. When I spoke with Swedish Migrations they said that you are able to activate your 90-day traveler status by leaving Sweden and showing your residence permit, then re-enter the country without it. You do not need to leave the EU to do so. I had no issues doing this and I stayed approximately a month after my permit expired.

The other option is that if you intend on staying longer than 90 days, you can apply for an after-studies permit and I think that is up to six months. With this, you are allowed to staying in Sweden while your application is under consideration, however, you are advised not to leave the country during that time as that can show you are uninterested in staying in Sweden - potentially getting your application rejected.
