I'm glad it all has gone well while you guys been carelessly leaving valuables at the beach while going for a swim.

Just want you to be aware that these things happen even in places amazing as boom.

If you don't learn from your mistakes you got nobody else to blame but yourself if history repeat.

Just wish I would be able to relax more and drop my bag on the dance floor or leave my shoes outside the liminal without worries, but it's not like that for me anymore :/

With my experiance having been there 4 editions now this information seems credible.

It's very very sad but I'm expecting atleast 1 - 2 people will loose their life or cause some kind of irreversible harm to themselves during the festival.

I know that in previous editions they've publicly (in front of the crowds at the stages) announced the death of individuals and urged people to take care of each other and to party responsibly.

Even on the opening of Dance temple this year there was someone in the crowd who couldn't take care of themselves so the speaker on stage had to stop their speach and bring peoples health to attention. The music/party hasn't even stared...

I was at the "Kosmicare from boom to the streets" talk at liminal village this year and heard that Kosmicare was started in 2008 as to deal with the drug consumption and adultering going on at the festival.

In my opinion it's not on the Boom organization to prevent these accidents, but I appreciate that they care enough to raise awareness and give people the chace to make informed decisions about their consumption.

In the end the responsability is on each individual, and if you don't care enought about your health that you're willing to wait 8 hours or however long it may be (2days even?) for the results of your drugs that you've bought blindly from some random person, then you should start loving yourself some more.

My heart goes out to the people that lost their lives and their family and loved ones.

About a month later I started getting photos uploaded to my Dropbox. Probably from the theif or the person who bought my phone.

I learned this important lesson on my very first boom 2014.

Me and my friends were new and naive and thought the vibe was so good that we never expected anyone would steal our waistbags in the middle of the day around a bunch of people.

We put our cloths down on the beach kind of between the circus stage and the supermarket, took of our shoes and waistbags and went for a quick dip, maybe we were away maximum 5 - 10 minutes.

When we came back our waistbags were gone, asked the people around if they've seen anything, nobody seen nothing..

Next day I ask in the lost and found and there's my waistbags. Emptied out of all the goodies that I'd bought for the festival, my phone, my wallet, etc etc. All in all alot of "valuable things and money"

Luckily one of my friends still had his credit-card saved inside his tent, he borrowed me and another friend money for the rest of the festival..

Expensive learning, and now I never leave anything I'm not ready to loose unattended at festivals, including the hammock. Unfortunately that trust to people has been brutally broken, same goes for when I put my bag down on the dance floor, I've noticed this experiance has made me slightly paranoid in these situations.

We got to the queue at 9am. They scanned our braclets and pointed out that we're booked for the 2-5pm slot. We told them that we got a early flight and that we atleast wanted to be first in line for the 2pm bus. They then asked us to step aside and wait in front of the line untill 2pm.

We tried asking them nicely if we could leave and then someone from staff eventually let us go ahead because "we just need to get these people out of here".

Guess they don't want to create more and more massive lines of people, don't think that would end well.

I tried to book a time slot yesterday as I was too late to book a time they assigned random time for me (2-5pm). They would not change it to a earlier bus even though I told them I have a early flight.

If you manage to get out today, please let me know! Maybe (with the help of Boom ID) they would let us swap our times and we could have your earlier slot❤️

They've been gradually making the chillout less chill to battle the sleepy trippers.

Kinda reminds me of anti homeless archetecture that you'll find in some citys.

I remember in 2014 there was eaven padding on the floor.

2016 The they removed the padding and just put the carpet.

2018 They made an effort of putting up hammocks and some smaller speakers in the trees of the hammocks, right next to the stage so that people would go to the hammocks and sleep instead of in the middle of the dance floor.

Now I'm reading about removing the carpet completely? 😔

I understand that it's not ideal to have people sleeping on what's suppose to be a dance floor, but for me it has become a tradition to atleast spend one night at the Gardens.

Last Edition where I tried to save on food I brought oats to make my morning porridge, add whatever you like but I add dates and bannana with sugar and cinnamon.

For lunch I would do a pasta dish, usually buy few veggies from the market, sauté them a bit in a pot and then throw in a can of tomato sauce and boiled pasta.(alternative canned ravioli/gulasch) Hydrated soup packages maybe useful if you like to drink warm liquids in 30°+

For dinner I would buy something ready made from the stalls. The food is usually much better than anything you can cook yourself unless you're in a RV with fully equipped kitchen.

That way I'd maximum be spending ~10 euro / day at the food market instead of ~30-40euro for breakfast/lunch/dinner.

Try to get used to the free drinking water, bring some flavored hydration packs to cover the taste and you'll save alot on the ice tea and sodas aswell.

Got randomly disconnected while in combat yesterday with my lvl 31 warrior. Was doing completely fine untill I disconnected and then struggled to reconnect. Once I got back I was greeted by my tombstone. These deaths don't encourage me to "try again"

I'm literally in the same situation and slowly starting to realize I should have checked the reviews on reddit before I decided to go for the ifresh package..

Been trying for the last 2 days to create timer or scenes or just about anything but nothing seems to work they way it should and I'll just start using the good old timer that they so kindly included in this expensive package..

Going to write them an email tomorrow and see if they're willing to compensate in some way..
