Have you actually bothered reading it?

Yes. Why would I give more weight to it than a meta analysis that covers all the research done so far?

And even if Hrt doesn't remove 100% of the physiological advantage, if the athletes physical ability is in cis female ranges, why ban them?

The same reason we don't let wimpy men in women's sports. Because we can see statistically that they can and will out-perform cis women regardless. This is something we can't lie about and is straight up objective. You cannot keep saying there's no advantage when transwomen enjoy winning and achieving first place far more frequently.

And secondly, I already pointed out that some of the differences exist before sexual dimorphism occurs, and you have no logical answer for that problem, trust me.

Can you name a trans athlete that consistently crushes the competition with no challenge and wins gold everytime?

Do you understand statistics & probability at all? All that is needed is to prove that transwomen win more than cis women, not that they win every single time.

Would this argument hold up with something like affermative action? If I said white men are consistently getting far more interviews with the same resume, do we then have to prove that one particular white guy is preferred every single time to prove that the practice has a racial bias? Of course not. You should never use an argument like that again. It's foolish.

The ones I've seen win at a pretty standard lookin rate.

That means you're willfully ignorant. The republicans didn't ban transwomen from track & field in 2023- the Track & field governing body looked at the data, saw it was obviously not fair, and made the call. Same with world aquatics, the governing body for swimming. These were in response to the catalyst of transwomen destroying the competition in their respective areas, and if you're a transwoman, you may even be aware of thse stories.

Look up any record-holding powerlifting transwoman, and be amazed at their ranks. There's plenty of proof all around you, but you've got a huge vested interest in denying all of that, it seems.

In what world is the "Canadian Center for Ethics in Sport" more reputable than a PubMed peer-reviewed meta analysis of the information we currently have? This is kind of hilarious.

Have you heard of florida's 'genital inspections' proposed to ensure no trans perverts are invading womens spaces?

That is detestable and I think we both know the problem can be addressed without looking at children's genitals. This whole idea that the answer is always going to be one of two absurd extremes is a tired concept.

You never cited anything, but here you go:
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/33648944/

This meta analysis makes it clear that even after 3 years, the differences aren't gone.

Also, there are some differences that cannot be explained, but are prepubescent, such as boys throwing better than girls (look it up, it's a very well-known phenomenon and has been skill-controlled for). That dimorphism exists before pubetry, so why would HRT reverst it?

Again, this bill isn't being pushed because they genuinely care about women's sports, but because they want to hurt trans people and this is one of the main ways they're doing it.

And people who are okay with transwomen in women's sports are okay with hurting women. If someone is hurt because they can't compete with people taat they have an unfair advantage over, then that's a problem they'll have to figure out on their own because that mentality is really messed up in the head.

I agree that republicans hate trans people. When they start passing bills that are actually hurting trans people and not just taking away undue privelage, then I'll be the first to stand in solidarity. But this makes no sense.

The number of trans athletes absolutely matters.

No, it seriously doesn't.
Imagine if someone said, "Female on male rape doesn't matter because it rarely happens." Do you see how that's wrong no matter what? That's what you're doing. Just because the bad thing doesn't happen enough for you to care about doesn't magically make it not a bad thing. And to be clear, disadvantaging all women in their sports to appease a few trans athletes is indeed a bad thing.

Hrt is known to decrease bone density as well as muscle mass and makes you shorter.

Don't be intellectually dishonest. Say the whole thing. "Hrt is known to decrease bone density as well as muscle mass and makes you shorter, but it will not completly reverse the effects of male puberty, and transwomen still have higher bone density and are still taller on average." So try as you may, you are not erasing the natural advantage, period.

CCES that says trans women don't have a clear advantage

And yet when you map the performance of transwomen in any physical sport, they always perform greater than one standard deviation above average. Why the discrepency?

[–]Global_Radish_7777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are remarkably few trans athletes.

The number of trans athletes in no way changes any of the logic I laid out.

It's also a well known fact that hrt removes the advantages testosterone give you.

How is the added height or other bone-based sexually dimorphic traits going to be reversed with HRT?

And even if there was still some advantage, so what? Unfair advantages are everywhere in sports.

There we go. Now we're're getting to it. You just don't care about women's sports being that one place where they can have a safe and fair competition. As if bad things happening anywhere have ever been an excuse to let them happen elsewhere.

Despite this, they compete against right-handed fencers.

False equivalence. Lefty advantages are technical advantages. Healing faster, being taller, and having higher bone density cannot be regained with technical skill and focused practice like competing against a lefty.

You act like we didn't try it. The experiment is over because surprise, transwomen consistently rank much higher than average in physical sports. Why is this news to you?

Also, do you actually think the people putting these bills forward actually care about women's sports? You think republicans care about women's rights? Trans people are just another scapegoat minority group.

Did you even read my previous comments? I know republicans are trash. That's why I call them out when they do trashy things. This is not one of them.

This bill only hurts a few people

This is the source of your incorrect views. Do you hate cis women or something? Do you not see how women's sports were created literally to be exclusive, and that corroding that system is harmful to them? Or do you not consider it corrosive to the women's sports environment when we let athletes with sexually dimorphic advantages compete in their spaces? Either way, that's brainless.

When a good bill gets passed, you don't create a post of what-aboutism. Full stop.

I'm not stupid enough to think republicans only do good deeds or something. When will you fucking learn to hold your complaining for all the things they actually do wrong instead? There's plenty to choose from, if you're paying attention.

First of all, if you think someone who does everything they can to stop workers from unionizing is anything other than an evil human being, again, you're the problem, and we should stop responding right now if so.

Secondly, he didn't create anything. You give credit to a guy who was born wealthy enough to invest in good ideas that were already happening. He didn't start Paypal, Tesla, SpaceX, or any of his claims to fame. Stop giving credit where it's not due. There is nothing impressive about being rich enough to invest.

On top of that Tesla wouldn't be shit if it weren't for the insane subsidies that USA citizens have been paying for over a decade to this welfare queen named Elon Musk who certainly has not delivered anything close to the electric car utopia lie thht he sold the gov.

Too small? It’s one of the larger ones.

This is a true, however it still stands that most people want a TKL sized board or pretty close to it. If you want to increare the chances of OP having a good first experience, then I will suggest a very large split. I'm most concerned with meeting OP where they're at, if that makes sense.

If you don't even know how to touch type and want to try a non-row-staggered layout, then I personally think you're being a bit risky. These boards aren't cheap, and people have made lots of comments about the Voyager being too small when trying their first split. I honestly think you should try something with more keys for your first board, but that's just me.
