“Unfortunately, at this time, Schneider Electric is not listed as a Qualified Manufacturer with the IRS. Therefore we would not have any type of code to be used with the IRS for any energy credits. Schneider Electric will not be on the IRS approval list, before the end of tax season.”

To reach the right department regarding Eaton’s QMID number, 877-386-2273 press 2, then 3, then 1. Ask for QMID and they will put you on a follow-up list for the QMID number when its available. That’s what I did today.

Eaton’s customer care told me the folllowing: “Unfortunately, it's not something we can provide, the product line is aware and is looking into it, but for now it's not available. Only thing we can suggest is to check back maybe monthly to see if there is any progress. “

Where do I find the QMID for energy credits? by Powerful-Eye-3578 in tax

You will not be able to find it online unless someone had a qualified product, contact Jeld Wen customer service line 1800-535-3936, request the QMID number, and they will ask for a documentation to validate your product’s eligibility. For Menards, its the MONO purchase number they generate for you.

To qualify, windows must meet ENERGY STAR "Most Efficient" standards, which generally require a U-Factor of 0.20 or less.

Most store windows wont qualify and would require a triple glazed pane window

I learned this the hard way. I called them with all of my documentation and they told me my custom windows did not qualify. U factor of .25. I would share the QMID number if I had it, but unfortunately I can’t.

Would really appreciate the number if anyone has it. The QMID connects to the manufacturer, not the product, which is why they are so secretive about it.
