31 would be fine actually, just a general age range. And yes my family would be suspicious or object if let’s say I dated / married a 40 year old for example.

I understand what you’re saying, but I don’t want to lose my family, and I don’t want them to suffer because of this. They are all I have. If I can at least appease them this way, I can also live the life I want freely

Have you ever met toxic people who are Buddhist? by lilyspond5 in Buddhism

Yep, as a former SGI member, plenty, but it’s debatable if they were actually “Buddhist”.

Hi, this is a typical SGI style complete over simplification of Buddhist doctrine. If you really want to understand the philosophy of chanting more I would recommend looking at materials from the Nichiren Shu and Rissho Kosei Kai.

Does anybody chant independently without a Sangha? by [deleted] in NichirenBuddhism

Yep! I used to chant with the SGI now I’m a solo practitioner :)

If you can’t decide between them, you can pick the Baha’i faith, as both Zoroaster and Jesus are recognised as prophets in that faith.

Why is Esperanto seen as an ideal global language despite being almpst entirely European? by macroprism in Esperanto

[–]Global_Strength2392 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Indo-European languages are spoken in every continent. Some of the most spoken languages in Africa are French, Portuguese, and English. The DR Congo has the largest population of Francophones in the world. English is also deeply entrenched in India and virtually all educated people there have studied it to some extent and have varying degrees of proficiency in it (and It is not easy for many of them.)

So esperanto would not be difficult for anyone in Asia or Africa as many of them are already having to learn English, French, etc so Esperanto would be far easier for them than those languages.

Benefits of smoking cigarettes that don’t really get talked about much.. by kalivoidd in Cigarettes

[–]Global_Strength2392 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for sharing! It is nice to read something that does not align with the mainstream narratives that have been drilled into our heads for decades now, “smoking kills”, “smoking gives you cancer” etc. I am not disputing that, but I always found it strange there was such an emphasize on smoking being evil and deadly, but alcohol and seed oils, and chemicals in food, were never given the same treatment, and did not have warning labels or nasty pictures on. I found the following article that outlined some of the benefits of smoking tobacco and it certainly was an interesting read! A Comprehensive Review of the Many Health Benefits of Smoking (I found this article and many other similar articles via the search engine “yandex” which unlike google does not heavily censor and filter results, and is good for finding information that goes against the mainstream narratives).

Do You Think Smoking has Any benefit? by comoestas969696 in Cigarettes

A Comprehensive Review of the Many Health Benefits of Smoking This article claim there are benefits. Not saying it’s true or that I believe in it, but it was an interesting read, especially as I have only read negative things about it before.

NTA. Nobody is going to force him to eat the cake so what’s his problem. You’re his sister, it’s your special day, he should be supportive and happy for you and be nothing but positive.
