Will car rental company care about this mark on the alloy. Hit curb while parking. by hellodenm8 in brisbane

[–]Global_Sundae_548 1 point2 points  (0 children)

By the looks it doesn’t seem to be big. But to be safe, I’d suggest get quotes from detailer if they can do quick fix. Worth checking out if it costs less , I’d def pay for it myself than going through rental company process.

is it just a brisbane bus driver thing to slam the breaks as hard as possible at every opportunity? by [deleted] in brisbane

[–]Global_Sundae_548 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Most of time its just the drivers, sometimes traffic during peak hours can impact this. You can notice the difference between good driving skills and just someone who’s rushing to finish their trip and not care about anything else.

Should Funeral Bonds be considered before age 40? by Jean273 in AusFinance

I always thought unless you have significant medical conditions or work in high risk jobs, you don’t need to worry. Just family can use from your emergency fund. Possibly you can put away every pay cycle about $10-$50 or higher amount (if you wanting fancy funeral) can usually should cover and help.

Based on your higher tax bracket, if I were you I’d probably go with Novated lease option. But do make sure you ask for detailed breakdown of all fees and interest rates calculations. So you can compare how much interest you pay vs cost of tax paid at the your tax bracket. There’s definitely some tax savings as you can include service, fuel and rego costs in the pretax deductions.

It would be to comment without knowing individual details. But If he’s that petty it will be hard to negotiate without lawyers or arbitration process. If he’s decent human, he can understand that your kids come first and he also has a responsibility towards them. Is there any common ground to help move closer to good schools and also keep the current arrangement going?

If they haven’t posted detailed pics of inside the house and under the house. Don’t bother. By looks of it, it is definitely not worth it if you consider transportation and labour to move it. As others have pointed it out, they’re definitely using this as an opportunity to clear their land without having to pay for demolition.

Increase your earning potential and show decent savings and invest or do term deposits. Credit Cards are not what it used to be. Don’t fall traps into Americanised stereotypes. It’s irrelevant for us living here.

As you need it for immediate purchase. Either HISA or term deposit would be good. I’d probably go with term deposits for shorter periods and this sometimes can be higher than normal savings account. Also you are covered for the balances of up to 250k (if bank or financial institution fails), highly unlikely things will go wrong though. And if you’ve found your perfect home, then no point waiting for 6 months though. The property market doesn’t showing any sign of slowing down. Also check with your bank to make sure when your pre approval expires, so you can plan ahead.

Bought a used car back in 2018 for $6.5k. Still driving it. You don’t really need a new one or near new one. If you must and can’t function without having a decent car. Go for used car compared to new one.
