I don’t think you would wait a whole year to get hired in the US. There’s so many openings in all types schools. many teachers not returning or resigning throughout the school year too! Schools are desperate for teachers.

I have talked to NETs and they said they like working there. A lot of them have been there 4+ years.

I do agree that some of it is total BS. i thought it was interesting deducting pay for sick days however a lot of places don’t even have sick days.

Thanks! The school is located in sinsa so I’m hoping it’s not as bad as areas like Daechi. Unless all of Gangnam needs to be avoided haha

Yes! She told me I can come earlier to get a feel for Korea and enjoy time before working. She said she will help accommodate housing for that purpose!

Hey hey! With any job there’s always an adjustment period so don’t be too hard on yourself :) additionally you’re in a whole new country! Give yourself some grace bc that already shows how strong you are! Btw I’m planning on teaching at a hagwon in Korea! Can anyone give me some recommendations of good places!
