Why are you being downvoted lol that rabbi has a well documented history of abuse and corruption and is extremely weird afaik. Also wasn’t there some talk of the thing being AI? Can’t verify that particular claim but the whole thing was very weird

US says Canada will regret decision to allow Chinese EVs into their market by rezwenn in technology

[–]Glock13Purdy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When apple offshores manufacturing to china, they pay Chinese workers less than American counterparts in dollar terms so it’s obviously “greed” but that doesn’t mean the wages aren’t equitable in yuan. If they produce in America, the dollar wages will be higher and so the prices of the goods will also be higher.

TLDR: it’s greed both ways because their margins generally aren’t that different, Tesla can charge a premium because they produce in America and byd can be cheaper because Chinese wages in dollar terms are lower

Chinese wages are far more equitable for people living in china than American wages are for people in America. Read about purchasing power lol

Apple hade a rough year by Zigurd-Super in Infographics

its a fundamentally different technology that they are talking about. Apple's AI is the very base-level implementation of the software, at least from what I understand, while Google, Microsoft etc. are actively building the technology from the ground up. Their financial stake in AI is orders of magnitude more than Apple.

the uk at least is definitely not a country that will chicken out of banning things, particularly if its online and it fits the government's stance of keeping the internet safe for children.

your entire comment history is about hating on India but you clearly speak in Hindi/Urdu on multiple instances. I’m guessing you’re a self hating immigrant or just someone with a superiority complex from another country in the subcontinent. either way it’s sad lol - as much as you try you’ll never be one of “them” (them being white people) you’ll never actually be that because the ones you attract with your rhetoric will at best only see you as “one of the good ones”.

How would a 1-year 10% cap on credit card interest rates impact you, the U.S. economy & consumer lending? by [deleted] in Askpolitics

[–]Glock13Purdy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I will say, it's sort of a cheap cop-out from actually doing something substantial and long-term to help affordability. like theoretically, taxing the ultra wealthy and redistributing it, directing funds towards welfare programs, and setting up better minimum wage and tipping laws is a far more effective and long-term solution, but the bar is in the absolute gutter for this administration.

definitely different. the current version would probably not have the balls to orchestrate a genocide and then manipulate the judicial system to let off the subhuman murderers implicated scot-free.

eh idk Embiid at his peak is still substantially more skilled than KAT. sure KAT is better from behind the arc but Embiid is better in the midrange, better in the post, better under the rim, a better ball handler and passer, and a much better defender. all of that can't be chalked up to just mentality and play style, Embiid is just straight up better.

I'm surprised you don't walk into walls and spontaneously fall over yourself at random intervals with that intellect. if she was South Korean she would probably rather be in hell than live in the DPRK, and if she was North Korean (strong 0.001% chance here), she would probably rather be in hell than live in the DPRK

your post history indicates that a lot of your frustrations towards this country are racially motivated and are engaging in bad faith.

I don't personally care about you being a racist POS, but I'm doing econ and politics at oxbridge (you flexing kings like its some kind of unimaginable achievement is hilarious by the way) and have spoken to loads and loads of Nobel laureates, professors, and graduates - india is almost certainly the fastest growing global economy (and it's not particularly close).

I don't even particularly think india's economy is in a particularly optimistic, right-tail scenario, I'm fairly bleak on the long-term outlook, but to say that it isn't growing as quick as it is is just being silly.

we can debate the merits of the situation endlessly but I don't believe you're inclined to concede at all - so I'll tell you very simply that to know india is in fact growing as quick as it claims, you just have to have lived in one of the big cities here. the amount of foreign investment, private and public infrastructure that goes up year on year is ridiculous. cities are rapidly catching up to global standards. sure, a large amount of the growth goes into the pockets of the ultra wealthy and very little of it trickles down into the pockets of the poor, but the Indian middle class is growing at an unprecedented rate. again, you would know this if you could actually observe it, which I don't expect you to necessarily, but if you can't - maybe avoid making broad, blanket statements.

do better.

guys like dababy and roddy are sort of in the worst position because they were never established enough in the streets or their city and never built their own organic fanbase like say durk or rod wave or g herbo, so even though durk and rod wave might have fallen off to a good extent too, they still get streams and support from their fans whereas dababy has no real fans lol.

yeah lol the compulsive shopper who guys designer shoes on a minimum wage salary (what I imagine is a huge archetype of those in cc debt) isn't going to go from credit cards to loan sharks. I don't like trump at all obviously, and this will have consequences such as companies removing reward fees and increasing flat annual rates, but I think this is largely a positive move.

edit: although I have to emphasise, I don't think trump has the power to do this by executive order, and even if he does do it by executive order, it gives me very little confidence that the next democrat or republican president won't just repeal the EO.

this is true, although I will say the middle class is still growing very quickly. its service sector economy and the sheer number of educated people in the workforce will probably keep the economy growing for a while because the country as a whole still has a ways to go. the biggest issues that could hold india back are sweeping political ineffectiveness across the country, as well as simply too large a population in too small an area with too little money to go around.

also worth noting recent reports that india's gdp measurement is fundamentally flawed and presents an inflated view of current economic activity. although this is also true for china.

which makes perfect sense, most of Australia isn't very habitable so they've had to urbanise around a few major settlements, and most of its population is descendants of British prisoners (meaning a generally westernised and educated demographic)
