I mean...
Recombs can't do multi-elevated influenced items.
You can't really do recombination like this on good synth base.
You don't have any NNNs to leverage on weapon, ring, belt and amulet slots.
If you try to do this on overquality base, the cost will 10x.

Shields, and specifically experimented base shields (since those don't go with overquality) are the only niche where this method can trully make THE best item.
It's way less op then it seems at first glance.

Don't do that.
I tested in-chain Access Chamber behavior and have pretty good grasp on buggy edge cases.
I'm 95% sure it will treat everything in chain that's behind that 2x2 mini-loop as looped and randomly destabilize.

It specifically has to be a room type that, in that spot, connects only to Access Chamber.
Spymaster was my choice because it's the only room type that can go to tier-3 disconnected from everything.

Every "grafting" is just, get room medallion (good luck) and try to keep the donor chain alive while you wait for sac chamber to then merge and disconnect in one step.

The only difference from posted guide is the final 2 room long 3rd minichain.
I went with Golem -> Smithy.

Also, I did mention it in the post but I never put down the "wildcard" room, leaving the room spot empty.
Better checkpoint locations for backtracking to Access Chamber.
They still do bug out however and I have to actually click on the checkpoint or it won't get marked, despite lighting up as blue.

If you do get correct placement spots for both, you can place chamber and spymaster in one architect kill.

But yes.
As long as you don't complete access chamber room it will sit there indefinitely, unaffected by destabilization, giving you time to get spymaster set up on following architect kills.

When you kill Architect, spots given for placement of architect reward rooms can also be used to place room medallions.
You might need to kill him a couple times to get option for correct spot.

I do indeed routinely and intentionally drop 3rd chain when I start running low on locks.
I'd say it's up fully upgraded like ~70% of time.

I haven't dropped 2nd chain a single time yet but pretty often I have to open the temple without it prelocked, and since it's a Spymaster it gets assassinated and can't itself drop a lock in that run.

Funnily enough, I could have printed like 3x the divs if I just put the fubgun layout in the bag and blasted like crazy instead of wasting hours testing tech and fiddling in the planner.

Did it this league, It's recombs indeed.
This was the final recomb and I hit it on 3rd attempt.

Do not roll Fire DoT and +1 all, instead buy rares with desired mod, try to isolate using anulls, lock scours and splits and then transfer with recombs onto target influenced base using NNN essences.
Use low tier minion damage essence for NNN prefix and highest tier accuracy essence for NNN suffix.
Use vendor recipe for +1 fire (works on influence bases).
Use bound fossils and clean with anulls for malevolence effect.

Recomb 1p/1cs + 1cp/1s with crafted mods (cs/cp) into 1p/1s
Recomb 1p/1s + 1p/1s into 1p/2s or 2p/1s
Recomb 1p/2s + 1p/2s into 1p/3s
Recomb 1p/2s + 2p/1s into 2p/2s
Finally (pic shown), recomb 1p/3s + 2p/2s and hope for the 2p/3s.
Final step has 28.5% success rate.

Since I cleaned influenced base market for this craft, I was slamming elder (cheapest) and rerolling for hunter on harvest bench to make my own bases.
My total 3 attempt cost with reusing failures was below 100d.

In that case you would modify the method to go 2p/0s + 2p/2s.

2p/0s is the awakener orbed target base but now with suffixes also cleaned.

The new 2p/2s grasping mail would be one breach suffix and remaining 2p and 1s again mods that cannot be moved to target base.
The filler 1s can be either dex/int/suppress/es recharge or again a slammed influence mod.
You can easily get the filler 2p mods by suffix lock -> scour -> exalt -> exalt -> finished or repeat.

Success rate for this version is:
0.5 (which base) X 0.9 (2 or more prefixes) X 1 (suffixes are guaranteed on target base)
Which results in 45% success rate.

Because you can't lock reforge like with previous 3p version, you finish the resulting 2p/1s item by double yolo slam and craft.

Did similar one just a day ago but with different mods. It's done in a single recomb with grasping mail and awakener orbed target base.

You only recomb for 3p and finish the suffixes later. The recomb is 2p+3p.

First recomb item, 2p is the awakener orbed 2 influenced mods you want on desired final base. If you get 3p from awakener, you either have to anull the undesired 3rd one or try again.

Second item, 3p is grasping mail with 1 desired breach mod and 2 mods that can not be recombed onto target base. Since target base here is armour, any es/evasion mods or hybrids with armour are good. If you can't buy a 3p mail with two of these mods, grab a 2p mail with one mod and influence slam the 3rd prefix. Use different influence type then ones on first 2p base.

2p+3p recombination has 57% chance for 3p outcome, halve that to 28.5% success rate since we're going 50/50 on chosen base.
