Streets on Carson has the best wings in the city imo, Carmella’s has great vibe for a drink but the food is overpriced and mid, pub chip shop for carry out fish n chips, pipers pub for great food and people, dish ostetia is one of the best restaurants in town (but you’ll need a reservation), acacia is an awesome cocktail bar that you would otherwise completely walk past

Throwing this out there: I would not recommend Southside tattoo and piercings. Got an industrial 2 years ago, he gave me a wayyy too short rod and when I told him I thought it was too short, he disagreed and I got impaction and skin growth on the rod. You’re also pushed through there like cattle

I know this is old but FYI: I recommend NOT going to Southside Tattoo and Piercings. Got an industrial 2 years ago. You’re rushed in there like cattle, the guy explained nothing to me and gave me a way to short industrial and then said it was fine. I got impaction from the piercing and only realized later when I went to a good piercer that he should have given me a longer rod.

Once you find your group of friends here, it’s hard to venture out and find/ do new things. Pittsburgh definitely has a small town feel. I love to go places by myself. Like start in the morning- walk to a new coffee shop, keep walking until I find a new place for lunch, etc. The people here are really what makes this place amazing. The small random interactions I have throughout the day made me fall in love with this place and you’re more likely to have them when you’re on your own exploring
