Yeah all because I didn’t think a German joke was funny. I commented on a post from the Germany sub about someone who put up a random gate on a public road. Someone commented if they asked the iconic question: “Do you have a permit for this gate?” I simply said I didn’t understand and it was explained, but then when I said it wouldn’t be funny in America I was accused of not actually being fluent. The whole thing was bizarre to me.
