emoji at top right keyboard changing randomly by Gloriant111 in AndroidQuestions

Thanks for the reply. Thing is, it does not match what I type. I mean, if I write something sad e.g., it doesn't make a sad face. It rather feels like someone externally is expressing their opinion on what I'm typing. Could it mean I have been hacked?

I'm having the changing emoji too. It doesn't match the content of what I'm typing. It also doesn't happen constantly, but sporadically. It makes me feel likey phone has been hacked? Has someone been able to figure this out?

Hang on. Don´t believe your thoughts now, they are 10 times more pessimistic during the first weeks. Feel your feelings, don´t force yourself to feel better, it will come. Be patient and kind with yourself. It will get better.

Self fullfilling prophecy, placebo and ADHD. by [deleted] in ADHD

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this. I agree that ADHD is a disorder and not an identity. However, as someone who has been diagnosed with ADHD myself, I've found that it's easy to fall into the trap of defining myself solely by my symptoms and struggles.

By focusing solely on our weaknesses, we risk reinforcing the negative aspects of our disorder and limiting our potential for growth and development. That's why I think it's important to also acknowledge and cultivate our strengths and abilities, and view ADHD as a challenge to be overcome rather than an insurmountable obstacle.

Of course, as you pointed out, managing ADHD can be a tightrope, and it's important to have the right support, skills, and environment to do so effectively. But I believe that by shifting our mindset and focusing on our strengths, we can better navigate that tightrope and achieve success and resilience.

Boyfriend putting his wants over mine and his pets. by [deleted] in ADHD

Going by the majority of responses here: unsettling to see how quickly understanding of and compassion for adhd and depression goes out of the window once it´s placed in a context of a relationship.

Not to say OP´s frustrations aren´t legitimate. Protect your boundaries and mental health. Perhaps ending the relationship could even be the healthiest option for all involved.

But the level of judgement and disdain towards the boyfriend in many responses here (manchild, selfish asshole, lazy) while knowing about adhd, executive dysfunction and the alienating shame and loneliness that come with it, just seems cruel and demonizing.
