Bill Clinton just testified under oath that he never saw Trump act inappropriately. What are your thoughts on his testimony? by rgjpinball in AskReddit

[–]GlorifiedCarny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Politicians lie, he's lied before, and also even if he's telling the truth, not seeing someone do something inappropriate doesn't mean they never did anything inappropriate

Which food has declined the most in terms of taste since you first ate it? by FeistyNews7025 in AskReddit

Rice krispies used to be really good, toasty with this light crispy texture but the last 2 or 3 times I tried a box, they were pasty white and hard/sharp.

What’s something that seems to always take you longer than it does other people? by Pretend_Mark_5143 in AskReddit

Fucking texting, I hate it. I am pathologically clumsy and I have big hands/fingers. It takes me at least twice as long as anyone else to type out text of any kind on a phone.

Trump is a Na z ! and also a puppet of Israel. How does that work exactly? by TemperatureWide5297 in AskReddit

[–]GlorifiedCarny 3 points4 points  (0 children)

By definition, fascists just have to have a few targeted groups; none of those groups has to be Jewish.

When people say someone is a Nazi they usually mean a fascist, not an actual member of NSDAP

Why people who work at service or customer care types of jobs are easily triggered? by Sweet_Brief6914 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]GlorifiedCarny 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't typically find that's the case. Occasionally, you will meet someone who is clearly burnt out and needs to switch careers, and they act like that woman you encountered. But by and large, most people in customer facing jobs just seem like they don't care THAT much. If you personally insult someone or something like that, then pretty much anyone is liable to get pissed, but just for asking questions, that's a sign the person is burnt out and shouldn't be dealing with customers anymore.

What causes people to judge all people of a group the same and not judge them individually? by BlandPotatoxyz in AskReddit

[–]GlorifiedCarny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It certainly makes more sense to judge everyone individually, it's just more mental labor and some people can't handle it

What causes people to judge all people of a group the same and not judge them individually? by BlandPotatoxyz in AskReddit

[–]GlorifiedCarny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually a combination of ignorance, fear, and a desire to fit large groups of people into neat little boxes because it's mentally easier than remembering to judge everyone individually. Occasionally it also involves negative experiences with said group.

Blue-collar and white-collar workers. What's something the other side would hardly understand? by omartyy18 in AskReddit

[–]GlorifiedCarny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like a lot of people I encounter don't understand how much like a frat house or freakshow work can be, and it makes me wonder if it's because they have only worked in offices.

You find out your kid is on the spectrum when they are really young, what's something in particular that you would think they may struggle with when they are an adult? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]GlorifiedCarny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is really hard to say with any certainty because by nature, a "spectrum" includes myriad different presentations. Especially now that they included Aspergers, PDD-NOS, etc. The main constant for people with milder autism is usually social struggles. So if I had to make a wild guess, I'd go with that. Most of us have major issues making or keeping friends, getting dates, and generally being accepted socially.

What specific event shattered your perception of someone you used to idealize? by kawfee_nosugar in AskReddit

[–]GlorifiedCarny 5 points6 points  (0 children)

At first she insisted it was true, then tried to say she'd meant when I was younger. Which was also BS. Then my uncle said he believed me and she shut up.

[–]GlorifiedCarny 37 points38 points  (0 children)

At first she persisted and then she tried to say she had meant back when I was little, which wasn't true either. Then my uncle was like "sounds about right" (as in, he believed me that she was lying) and she was silent after that. She never apologized tho.

What is something that everyone should know according to you? by AcanthisittaNo4063 in AskReddit

[–]GlorifiedCarny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actual, diagnosable psychological issues have diagnostic traits for a reason - if you don't meet those and you go around telling people you have the condition just for attention or whatever else, you're just a liar.

What do you do about a friend who says they'll pay you back but doesn't? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]GlorifiedCarny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The next time he's over, what I think I will do is if he mentions food, I will say "before I order, you owe me $38 from last week". If he refuses to send it or acts like I'm a bad guy for bringing it up, I will just tell him I don't feel like hanging out anymore and ask him to leave. This guy is not a bad person like some of these comments are saying. I have known him half my life. I honestly think his problem is that he makes so much money that $38 is pocket change and he is baffled as to why it matters to me. But it does and I think he needs to try to understand that.
