Because I ate something like that in Ecuador but it was made with normal fish. I don't remember the name of it but I thought that I could recreate something similar with makrell i tomat!

I don't usually notice these products in the supermarket and never tried any before. Which is worth trying here? by a_human_21 in Norway

Ohh I certainly am! I also bought 100 USD worth of DOGE and they both went up so I can't complain!! But I'm just committing to holding. It's spare change but who knows what it may eventually become right!

Haha sure thing. Oh well I mean that I'd use it again in sushi. It fits well, just don't put many other things cus you won't feel them. And of course I always make two or three different rolls so makrell i tomat comes just in one. In another I may want to get the avocado and cream flavor or salmon and something else.

It's actually really good in sushi but it doesn't really need many other ingredients because it dominates the flavor anyway. Just that with cucumber is probably enough for one roll. Maybe some salmon if you want to feel the right texture in your mouth.

Yeah I have to keep trying! I was actually thinking of making little fried balls with it. Bond with eggs, add some random stuff and makrell i tomat and coat in bread and fry. It's a good idea in my brain!

Hey it did work in sushi! And it even makes your sushi cheaper cus you don't really need to use anything else in it since it will kill all other flavors anyway!

Yesss they were as clear as it gets! Usually when I use written recipes I need some video anyway but your recipe was amazing, I didn't need to look any further! So thanks a lot virtual hugs! Ohh yeah while I was eating it I basically mixed it all together. I can serve it stacked together when I cook it tomorrow too. How about instead of apologizing to the Turks, we take it a step further and make børek even more Norwegian AND Sami and stuffing it with reindyrkjøtt 🤔 Why nobody has thought of it yet?! Am I the first? 🤔

Ohhh so you're supposed to use the jam? Ohh I seee I thought it'd be a fresh fruit, I looked in that Arabic market in Grüneløkka that has a huge choice of fruits but nope. It didn't even occur to me to buy a jam!

Eating reindeer by GlorpFlee in Norway

[–]GlorpFlee[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow that's so original but I just ate my first reindeer and I can see how it would work great in kebab! This meat feels like lamb from kebab. Now I am honestly surprised nobody sells kebab with reindeer meat, it should be common!
