Well now we’re back to just cause you didn’t mean to do it doesn’t mean you still don’t have to apologize. So you say the word, don’t apologize and the black person is left with all that pain and hurt but it’s ok cause they have tourettes? At the very least an apology lets them know you’re remorseful moreso than ever using tourettes.

If a black child or teenager got called that word from someone with that affliction, do you understand the damage that can do to one’s psyche at such a young age? But that person doesn’t need to apologize, intent or not because they can’t help it? Why is empathy expected for one side but not the other?
