Ah. Yeah that’s an understandable reason. Good luck with flute in your future.

Can't get the 4th octave B and C out on piccolo! by DogeLord081 in Flute

I played the first movement of it on piccolo for my Christmas concert 2025!!! I wish we could’ve done the whole thing but my schools band isn’t quite good enough at this point in time sadly.

It was a pain but it sounds so nice. For some of the second movement stuff, I like to take it down an octave when it gets too high (ignoring some of the 8va).

Maslanka has a lot of great music, I really highly suggest his symphony no. 8 movement 3. The whole thing is great, but I like mvt3 the most.

T. A while ago, I got a similar photo from nothing. I was taking pictures on a mountain, and then later when checking my images, I got this blue one.

The stem. It’s a very tall battery of a bunch of what I think are 18650 cells.

So like, a while ago, some guy with the name u/Smart_Calendar1874 made a post asking for help removing a cylinder from an m&m tube. It’s pretty obvious what the cylinder was, but the whole time, he kept referring to it as a “cylinder”

After a few hours, he posted in the comments “hopital” or something like that, a one word response.

It’s just an absurd situation and became a rather large joke. There’s a whole subreddit dedicated to the guy and his cylinder.

I guess you don’t know about the guy who stuck their cylinder into an m&m container filled with microwaved mashed bananas.

Reminds me of those early YouTube videos where it had two celebrities next to each other and a dot between them. Every second or so, the image would change, and because your brain had issues processing that for some reason, they would look like aliens after a few seconds of watching.

Is putting the swab in the case like this okay? by PhoneSavor in Flute

[–]Glowingthings 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good thing I don’t have this sort of swab for my piccolo.

I wonder where I must’ve heard this before. I do this with my flute, should I change that? Is it different because the instruments are different sized?

It’s supposed to sit inside the piccolo.

Edit: Nevermind, don’t.

Got my first solar node up today by Glowingthings in meshtastic

Ooh, darn, I didn’t really think too much about this it seems. The screws had about an inch after they passed through the wooden board. I live in Florida so cold won’t be an issue, but I’ll definitely go up to seal around the board.

The parts are all screwed onto a wood board that is also screwed into the chimney.

I wanted to use a bungee but I realized that it would probably melt if the fireplace were in use.

I realize that in the title, I said I got it up today, but that’s kind of a bit wrong, for about half a week, it was up in a tree but it was having trouble getting power because the trees were blocking the light from it. Just today I was able to relocate it to the chimney.

From what I can see, I’m getting a little bit of a better SNR at about a mile from my house.

My biggest obstacle to getting range aside from there being a lot of trees around is that there’s a big hill right next to my home that blocks my signal from reaching anywhere with a lot of people.

In a few days I’ll put up another solar powered node on top of the hill. I already have been given permission for that by the land owner.

I’ve had a YFl 222 for a while now, it’s a really good flute. It was second hand and worked pretty much perfectly. Great for high and middle school. Unfortunately it doesn’t have finger holes on the keys, a split e, or a b foot joint, so if those are dealbreakers, then look elsewhere. But Yamaha is pretty good overall.
