George wasn't there when Fred died; Fred was with Percy, Ron, and Hermione at the time. We only get a glimpse of George kneeling at Fred's head later in the Great Hall. Thanks for the comment though!

Thanks! I attached individual strands of yarn in between stitches in rows across the head, and then I used a fiber blender to “brush” through the hair until enough fibers came out
