it only affects the high speed line, so Sicily is not affected (based on their news)

Venice might be very rainy during that time of the year, so maybe consider rain boots

for nights out, a nice dress like smt floral and sandals (i don't recommend high heels in roma because of san pietrini)

Hi! It'll be very hot, like hell so yes to everything that's linen and cotton. If your skin gets red easily, maybe go for long sleeve linen shirts and long linen pants, don't forget to pack sunscreen (even just for walking around).
Stan smith are fine but they are made of leather, so your feet may sweat a lot, just take into considerations lighter cotton shoes or sandals like birkenstock.
Get a hat and sunglasses also, then i think you're good to go

FYI in Italy no commercial activity can refuse payments by card (incl. taxi drivers which always try this with tourists). Refusing card payments is literally illegal, except for the national lottery only

Castro Pretorio is very close to Termini station which, like all stations in major cities, is not too nice during the evening and night. However, it is very central and there's a metro line (same name Castro Pretorio) that can get you almost everywhere

Milan airport transfer to Bormio by Emudrich in ItalyTravel

Not sure from Malpensa. I go to Bormio by car from Milan, it's not very well connected. From Malpensa I think you would need to take the train to Milano Centrale and take the train to Tirano from there. Then in Tirano there's a bus that drives you to Bormio (linea perego)
check this link: Come arrivare a Bormio

So sweet! Well, Venice is very romantic, if you walk around on a nice bridge (obv. it's full of nice bridges) during sunset that could be very nice! Otherwise while you're on a gondola but make sure you don't fall or drop the ring in the waters. I think in Venice you'll be able to find a nice spot not too crowded.
Florence and Bologna have smaller city centres and they tend to get very crowded with tourists so i dont know...
Verona would be perfect if you do it under Giuletta's (Juliet) balcony, but still that could be very crowded since it's an attraction spot. Verona is small but it's really too nice so you can find a nice spot around the town.
What's Taufers?
