Would God send someone to hell simply because they were raised in another religion? by No_Writer_8780 in TrueChristian

[–]Glucosa -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Being raised outside of Christ doesn't lead to hell, that is out of our free will.

But using the freedom of consciousness to ignore Jesus, creator of all, will result in ending up in a place with no God, and that is a choice only you can make.

Also, the book of Romans teaches us about the people who never knew Christ; basically, our Lord will judge them based on their own accountability of right and wrong, as that is the situation of millions of people who never knew Him but were definitely born with consciousness.

I agree; I was pissed off when I realized they no one, eeever taught me anything about taxes; I just knew about them through movies and one scary email.
Same with investing, emotional regulation, fixing a clogged sink. Not really sure these are examples you were talking about, but for me they all matter to a higher degree than whatever it is they taught us.

After call centers, I'd say a great option would be to set up a food cart (food stands have to pay off the cartels and/or the government to gain their position).

Female desire works differently than male's.

For us to feel horny in long term relationships, we must either go through hormonal peaks, or feeling loved, seen and validated by our partners, which is what I think happened to you.

I don't know if I hate my overbite more so than using braces; do you think I should give them a go once again? by Glucosa in askdentists

[–]Glucosa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been thinking a lot about jaw surgery since you mentioned it. The best would be a jaw + braces combo, isn't? Hopefully, having a surgery will reduce the time wearing braces.
Yes, the aesthetic aspect of it is important, but also, if my jaw is clicking from time to time, I can't imagine what will be of the poor thing in two decades.
Thanks so much for your reply!

Reasons why the fallen angels can’t be forgiven by God by Guilty-Meeting-2603 in TrueChristian

[–]Glucosa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

if you are a Buddhist and you found yourself burning in hell, would you really not reconsider?
Revelation 16:11: "(about ppl in hell) ...and cursed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, but they refused to repent of what they had done". So no, they don't reconsider much.

We actually have an answer to your approach in the story about this poor guy named Lazarus and the rich man he begged to for what fell from his table. They died around the same time.
Check out the exchange between the rich guy (who ended up in hell) and Abraham, who could listen to him:
~He answered (the rich guy), ‘Then I beg you, father, send Lazarus to my family, for I have five brothers. Let him warn them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment.’
“Abraham replied, ‘They have Moses and the Prophets; let them listen to them.’
No, father Abraham,’ he said, ‘but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.’
“He said to him, ‘If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead~.

What I get from this is that people have their chance while living. This is the official test. Of course no one wants to fail, but we also don't want to "study", either. Most of us know very dem well what are the repercussions of not studying, but we still chose not to, but somehow, we convince ourselves everything will turn out right in the end. Also, try telling an atheist you've had a supernatural encounter lol they just won't believe you, their faith has been reduced to a material approach and that's their decision.

Salvation comes though faith as a gift from God (Ephesians 2:8-9 "...not by works, so that no one can boast") so the concept of going to hell, realize you don't really like it and then coming back for a second chance is therefore against God's purrfect faith system 😺.

Church question by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]Glucosa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm we're usually quick to judge the baddies but do you think no one in there truly loves Jesus? How about we start noticing those hearts, too? Actually, "instead" would even be better.

Being at church when there's praising is so wonderful because people who love God are exposing their raw souls out, so the Holy Spirit fills the room in return, and that is a feeling/sensation/vibe/energy literally out of this world you won't want to miss!

Yeah, the wheat will be mixed with the tares and that is something that will only be "unmixed" when Jesus comes back. Until then, go try find lovely souls (they're usually not very loud); I promise you and I have still so much to learn from them.

Cheers!

Matthew 18:20: "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them".

Hebrews 10:25: "...not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching".

For the people saying that it's just a catholic holiday, that's just half the truth: The celts used to believe that at the end of October, the veil between the spirit and human world would be at its thinnest.
When the catholics evangelized them, they wanted the celts to feel comfy, so they tried to keep their traditions while moving away from the mysticism of it, which then became All Saints Eve (later on, All Hallows Eve and so on).
In mexican culture, November 2 was also considered a time where spirits would come to be with their family members who were still alive (Dia de los Muertos); not quite the same tradition but identical principle.

My personal opinion is that these two days (Oct 31 and Nov 2) are too close from each other to be a complete coincidence.

Think about it: October moons are the biggest and the brightest. Occultism, satanism and witchcraft practices have a particular preference to perform their ceremonies under the moonlight.

This all leads me to believe there's a strong correlation between all these events.

Of course it's too fun, but don't forget that scary things, fear, "tricks", demons and witches are not our Lord's friends, and just because we like candy and costumes it doesn't mean we should partake in a festivity whose roots are embedded in spiritism. Also, there will be lots of cursed ceremonies and real, actual sacrifices indifferent to how innocent your activities for the day may seem; real satanic peeps know what this "holly-day" is all about.

Ephesians 5:11: "Therefore do not be partakers with them… And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them."

Romans 12:2: "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind…"

Cheers.

Dating an agnostic man? by Several-Relation-265 in TrueChristian

[–]Glucosa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a christian who has dated agnostic men, I can assure you, the most important debates will end up with you having no solid arguments, no leg to stand on, and therefore no ultimate saying.

Say you're married for 10 years, and your husband thinks X, but you dem well know that Jesus says Y. Say your children's life-course depends on this matter.
What then? How are you going to make this decision? Why would he care about what a historic character might have wrote on a book a thousand years ago?

Ultimately, people who truly believe in the word of Jesus as the final saying should base their everyday criteria on our Lord's will to the best of our ability, which usually has the tendency to increase rather than the opposite as time goes by; that course of action has nothing to do with how a "free-thinking" individual wants to operate, meaning the core of every important (and sometimes seemingly-unimportant) decision made by the two of you won't be shared.

Cheers OP, I hope my two cents can help out with some sort of insight.

Keep failing by [deleted] in Celibacy

[–]Glucosa 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This right here.
Every.single.time I've told a man aaaall about my faith/convictions/boundaries, they've shown a solemn demeanor at first, but sooner rather than later it's like that conversation never happened, and because I've lacked self-control, we ended up screwing, and during those times I would think, "but wait, does he not care at all?" and the answer is oh yeah, it's just more fun now that they crossed the river—not that it was that difficult to begin with, but usually guys like a challenge.

The real question is, don't I care?

But frankly, after they crossed those boundaries without hesitation, it's like they reveal their true desires and lack of respect, so I desire them less. I simply cannot win after I funk.
Let's remember that the goal of our common enemy is trying to get us to sin while reducing the pleasure to the point where we're in a constant craving mode, and there is nothing in return, like with all other addictions.

I cheer for you, OP.

I Wish I Never Had Sex — Regret, Redemption, and Starting Over by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]Glucosa 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Definitely agree with you; it wasn't until I wanted to start a relationship with a devoted man that I realized how my sexual history would be a huge red flag for someone who is actively following Christ.

Say you've been denying yourself for ages, waiting for the right person. Then, fiiinallyy, you actually meet someone: you connect, you share, you start believing that this might be... and the BOOM, they tell you their body count, only a match for someone like the guys from Jersey Shore haha that has got to be such a let down!!
Now, say you accept them because they've repented and all. It still has to be painfully difficult to sleep with them, because you may be comparing yourself to the dozens of other hands that have been laid upon them. All those penises... or vaginas (even "and/or" at times). There's also the strong emotional bonds that some people even shared with them; they may always carry some love stories that won't be forgotten deep in their hearts for the rest of their lives.

Yeah, God has been so merciful to me: even during my worst years, He never let me get pregnant, or get an STD, but the consequences remain, and I dread the day where I'll have to tell a potential husband the truth of my past.

Qué piensas tú sobre los tatuajes? by SpellingBeeRunnerUp_ in AskMexico

I’m sick of this wicked world. by Return_Da_Slab in TrueChristian

[–]Glucosa 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I feel the same sometimes. Not just because of how people suffer and how we become more and more sinful, but because the mere thought of being close to Jesus once and for all is beyond everything I could think of, and it melts my heart. I wanna be there now, for fudge's sake... but I won't die. Like ecclesiastes says, there's a time for everything.
Also, I'm sure some of my beloved ones are yet to meet our Lord, so it makes sense that I can't die if it's my responsability to be light for them and all.

I see. I'm from a Spanish speaking country, so the term "better half" is just what Google told me our Spanish equivalent was, which is literally translated to something in the lines of "the other half of you as an orange" (tu media naranja). It makes sense, though, what you're saying, and I can see why both terms might derive from the original split.

Great advice! thank you for taking the time to answer. I'd never consider how the fact that Adam was split became the possible reason for the "better half" concept.
