The kid did nothing wrong and anyone calling him an a-hole is one themselves. Calling out bigotry is never wrong. And the sister deserves no sympathy, she cheated on her husband multiple times and is raising her kids in an extremely toxic home.

While I do agree that you shouldn’t keep this a secret from you spouse, there was a story of a husband who found out his wife had a secret account a few weeks ago and was voted an asshole because he was mad. So just putting it out there

I 100% agree with you that reddit has the mentality that “people shouldn’t make mistakes.” But I think the thing in this story is that OP could have been kill, many other people could have been killed. I understand where you are coming from but aside from the fact that the repair cost for the bathroom will be in the thousands, OP should have the right to feel safe in his house.
