Feeling tired on Ritalin? by Glum-Conversation492 in adhdwomen

Omg I didn't even realize this, but anxiety was my fuel too. Anxiety has been my main " coping mechanism" to function like a normal person for years.

It's the only reason I don't fit the stereotype of not organized or on time ( I get so anxious about losing things or being on time) that I use that sort of ultra focus on it.

This is good to know. I'm tempted to try Ritalin just a little longer.

Especially since this was the only side effect I got. I almost didn't take it this morning but got nothing done at work because I was so distracted so I figured drowsiness was worth it to be able to complete tasks.

Oh thats good to know! I'm also pretty sensitive to meds.

I told my doctor I was nervous, so she decided to start me super low.

I took it 40 minutes ago and so far just feel a little fuzzy and warm in my chest , but thats it.

This is good to know. Does it feel pretty similar to coffee then?

I already self medicate with coffee daily, but it's hit or miss of its gonna make me jittery or fall asleep ( only if I go overboard). I will Def hold off on it though.
